Description

The Taco 007 Residential Water Circulator Pump is designed for use in hydronic heating, chilled fresh water systems, and domestic water systems. The Taco 007-F5 pump is typically used in Residential Hydronic Heating Systems. Taco 007 residential hydronic circulators are available in cast iron or stainless steel (for potable water systems) construction with flanged connections. The unique replaceable cartridge contains all the moving parts, and allows the circulator to be serviced instead of replacing the entire unit. The quieter direct drive cartridge type \"00\" series circulator is self lubricating, contains no mechanical seal, and requires no maintenance. This compact low power consumption design is ideal for those high efficiency jobs.

  • Reliable, Quiet & Easy-to-Install Circulator Pump
This Taco 007-F5 circulator pump works excellent and has been very reliable. Installation was straightforward, and it started working perfectly right away. It runs quietly, provides consistent hot water circulation, and noticeably improved the heating performance in my system. The build quality feels solid and durable, and it’s a great replacement for older or failing pumps. If you need a dependable circulator pump for a boiler or hydronic heating system, this is definitely a great choice. Highly recommended for both homeowners and professionals. ... show more

  • Big thing come in small packages.
I laughed when my contractor told me this would do the job of my massive 3/4 horse motor. Glad he was right. I got it cheaper on Amazon. He installed it within 2 hrs. Never hear that thing run. Works perfectly. Better than the original. Don’t be blinded by the small size. It works.

  • Solid pump for the money
Let me preface this review by stating that today is Sunday and I ordered this pump at 10:44 this morning. It was on my doorstep before 6:00 this evening, which I think is pretty good for a six dollar fee. I installed this pump as a replacement for a Grundfos UPS 15-42F. The old pump was damaged when the hi-limit on my aquastat went out and caused my boiler to overheat the system. I realize that the curves of these two pumps are quite different, but this unit was all that was available for same day shipping. With overnight temps in the twenties and an infant in the house, I just needed something to push hot water through my baseboard radiators. This unit works exactly as advertised, but there are a couple of things that aren't quite as nice as the Grundfos it replaced. The first thing I noticed was the noise. It is basically a non-issue as this lives in the basement, but I can hear it over the boiler when I am in the room. When the Grundfos was on, I had to put my flashlight to the pipe and my ear to the flashlight to hear the pump running. That being said, the Taco runs at almost double the RPM, so it is basically a null argument. The other thing I liked about the Grundfos was that the bolts were entirely captured in the bolt holes. This Taco unit only has ears on the flanges. This was only mildly unsettling because the Taco is about 3/8" of an inch shorter than the Grundfos. However, once aligned and tightened down, it shows no sign of leaks. I would not hesitate to recommend this pump to anyone. Taco seems like a good, honest American company with a solid reputation. The build quality seems to be in line with other pumps in it's class. I hope it provides me with many years of service, and I hope it does for you as well. ... show more

  • Use the gaskets that come with the pump
Easy replacement and reliable

  • Perfect Replacement for 30+ year old Taco 007 Unit
Dimensions were the same for the mounting flanges and the height of the impeller housing. New grommets included for the top & bottom flanges. Only about $20 more than the cartridge so I opted to get the whole unit since the motor was pushing over 30 years already. Drained the heating pipes; no shutoffs around the pump so it was a lot more work and water. Put in a plastic curtain around the boiler to minimize water splash on the gas valves and electrical parts. Changed over the electrical connections to the new pump. After replacement and refilling and purging of air from the pipes, unit has been working great. Note that in order to purge air from higher locations of your house (ie 3rd floor and higher), you will need to use the bypass lever on your water pressure regulator leading to the boiler, in order to increase the water pressure and force the air down and out your drain hose. FYI, The Taco 007 is a rock solid pump design that has withstood the test of time...hope they never mess with the design. ... show more

  • Easy install. Easy install.
Easy install with a couple wrenches. Just make sure the gaskets don't move around and seat properly. Replaced an old F4 black model that was making a terrible noise from likely shot bearings.
