A plastic body with some rocks added. The design looks ideal to put gathered plants on and into. The base drains water along the edges of a plastic box, implying no visible hole for plant matter to go into. In gathering some summer plants to stack on the design, it still draws find into the pump with the plants on it. But it broke later. I thought it was from putting plants in it and bought a 2nd, as these were cheap, but the 2nd also had a weak pump that did stop, this time without the plants. ... show more

    • Cute, but prone to failure.
I'm on my second one of these, and despite checking the water levels regularly, the motor is prone to failure. Better off spending a little more on something reliable.
