The media could not be loaded. Seems to work reliably and is a nice small size for an outdoor table. You need to unscrew the four screws and remove the rubberband and packing material before using. I use distilled water in it and run it no more than an hour or so at a time and I don't leave the water in it when it's not being used. ... show more

    • Cute, affordable but doesn't last.
I use my fountain almost everyday. I've noticed the water doesnt circulate as nicely as I think it should. It last only for 2 months and finally doesnt work or turn on. Price should be less for the amount of time it fucntions

I was expecting a little more detail. Instead, I got a plastic toy that wasn't fully painted. And after a week, the fountain started making this strange noise, despite it only being on when I'm in the room, and I have a cat and my main concern was her knocking it over. HUGE disappointment, really. This was supposed to be a GREAT piece for my room and now....I may just spend more elsewhere. ... show more

This fountain is small but still looks nice. It doesn't work for very long. Mine worked without incident for 2 days. The batteries died within 48 hours of NON-continous use, that wasn't an issue however, I thought it just uses a lot of juice, so I switched to the power cord that came with the fountain. The instructions say only use the cord for two days or it may wear out the motor, so for the power cord's first use I only used it for two hours while I read that evening. The next morning I switched it on while I got ready for work, after about 10 minutes the motor began to to make a low grinding noise, so I switched it off waited a moment then switched it back on. The motor was silent for a couple of minutes then began to make a loud grinding sound. I decided to keep the fountain because it matched my decor perfectly but I can only turn it on for a couple minutes before it starts to make that horrible grinding sound. So it looks nice but if you're buying it for the water feature I would not recommend it. ... show more

Well I purchased two of them one of them did not even work at all looks like the motor was already blown The other one worked just fine. Not going to lie the quality on them are very cheap but the appearance is very nice. Would be careful when your removing the cover on the bottom where the battery goes in to for It can break easily when applying too much pressure. Overall if you get a working one you’ll like it. Found the best spot for product like this to be in the bathroom it really makes the guest say wow. ... show more

As previously reviewers have noted this desktop fountain is both very small and clearly made of plastic but it is pretty anyway. It is inexpensive and I like it very much. The fountain was silent on my stone kitchen counter. It was louder on my coffee table, and then a lot louder on my nightstand when I moved it there, so where it sits matters. I guess the nightstand works as an amplifier somehow. I padded the feet on the base by cutting up a felt chair glide and making little tiny pads for the base, then sat it on a cushy plastic placemat on the nightstand and that quieted the pump noise back down. I couldn’t resist, it is just adorable. I put it on my home desk as a bit of whimsy. Yes, you can hear the water trickle, which is enchanting and sounds peaceful. It would make a great gift for young girls, very unique. I am 78 years old, and also very unique, especially in my taste and never too old to enjoy a bit of whimsy in my life. ... show more
