Love this fountain! Pump and lights all work great. Saw some reviews that complained of splashing outside of unit, which didn't occur for mine and I had the pump lever slid to the max setting...but you can decrease the output if needed. Very relaxing trickling sound of water, which is the reason I wanted it. Very confused by the negative reviews that complained of the running water sound because what would you want a water fountain for besides this? Wanted in my bedroom for sleep and the LED lights (3) were somewhat bright (not a bad thing) so I put some colorful glass marbles in the little pools to color and filter the light. Can't wait to go to bed and experience the ultimate relaxation. ... show more

This is a perfect fountain for soothing, water trickling sounds. I did have an issue that Judy, with Alpine customer service made right, right away. This is my favorite fountain I have ever owned. It’s the perfect size. I have it in my plant window in my kitchen and can enjoy it also in our family room. It’s in a copper bowl with small pebbles around it and on all levels of the fountain. It has lights but I prefer to cover them. I love this fountain so much and it’s so relaxing! Update 7/24/25 I had my replacement fountain less than 2 months and it started leaking just like the other one. I contacted customer service and Grace recommended I use super glue to fix it. No more alpine fountains for me now. Very disappointed. It was great, until it wasn’t. ... show more

The instructions show a pump with an adjustable flow rate. Mine came without a flow rate switch, so I can't adjust the flow. Because of the discrepancy, I did not give 5 stars. I like the amount of water regardless of not being able to adjust the flow, and it produces a nice sound for a 12X15 room. The rim is damp in the bottom/main basin, but after 8 hours of running, there was no over splash. On the shelf or the floor. The material is fairly heavy and it seems to be a nice color/quality. It fits in with the room colors and plants at my desk. It was mostly assembled. All I had to do was un pack, connect light connector, fill with water and plug it in. Very minimal. It is a tight squeeze getting the pump in and out with your hand and I had to use a pen to get the pump placed and pull the pump out by the cord. My hand would not fit in side. I can't reach an octave on a piano, but my hand muscles are fairly developed. The lights are better in pictures, but it is really nice. ... show more

The good: ... First of all, it works great! The lights were far too bright, but disconnecting them was as easy as just disconnecting the light connector. This is personal preference, so others might like the lights. It's very quiet. You have to have your ear within a few inches to hear the motor. ---- Now, for the issues: ---- This fountain deserves 5 stars, so that's what I am giving it as a product review. That said, something shady went on with this before I received it. .... It was used. I don't just mean someone tried it out, it didn't work or they didn't like it so they returned it. This was actually used. They tried cleaning the tubing but there was hard water debris still on it. There was still water in the pump casing, too. There was even a broken piece of some decoration that did not come from the fountain. .... My theory is this was either a store display that was boxed up .. OR .. The person who returned it only needed it for a decoration for a short while and returned it after. It's possible they broke it and returned it, too, because the lid on the motor casing is very loose and a piece of the plastic is bent. Honestly, I think they were refilling it or resetting the motor and broke it, then returned it for a refund by blaming the shop. ..... My question is: Why was this resold as a new item? No one had even gone through the packaging to determine it was still okay to resell. The parts weren't packed away. They were still set up. And again, water inside and a strange broken piece of something. --- Bottom line --- The fountain works great but whomever is responsible for receiving returned merchandise did a very poor job of looking it over before reselling. Buy at your own risk. The fountain is great but this shop, maybe not so much. ... show more

I’ve bought various tabletop and larger waterfalls over the years and this one is the BEST by far! Easy to assemble with clear instructions, including water and pump maintenance, with a very relaxing water sound and no pump noise at all. The lights look great at night in a dark room. 100% satisfied and highly recommended! As far as the negative reviews, unfortunately on occasion there may be shipping damage depending on how the package was handled. Mine arrived in great condition with no damage. The pump noise should NOT be heard and before returning this product, carefully read the instructions to make sure the pump is pushed to the bottom of the water reservoir and then fill up with 0.4 gallons or 6 cups of distilled water. If the pump is NOT fully or is barely submerged in water, it will make noise. If the pump is still noisy after carefully following the directions, the pump is likely defective. ENJOY!!! ... show more

This is the third table top fountain that I have purchased but the first from Alpine. I was initially concerned that the three tiered design wouldn’t splash enough to calm my wife, who is in a care facility. The velocity is incredible, far from disappointing, beating out the five tiered unit it was replacing. With that, oversplash was also a consideration — the previous two splashed beyond the 18” tray I set to catch what was still quite a lot. The design directs water flow so that, even at higher setting, any water loss is imperceptible. Additionally, the lighting is dramatic yet calming, especially as a night light, the rippling effect through water causes a dancing display on the ceiling. Tremendous value. ... show more

Arrived with a plastic piece broken off the motor but the fountain still functioned. The motor is not loud but you don't want to put the back cover on because it's a pain to see how much water is left in the fountain if not. Forget about sticking your hand inside to adjust the water control. It's too small even with my tiny hands. Mine drained in 3 days because it kept spitting out water onto my drywall niche. It was constantly wet. Even with the level turned down to the lowest. Even if I were to put it on a tray I can't maintain filling this every 3 days due to spraying water. Bummed because it looks nice. Returning due to overspray. ... show more
