The media could not be loaded. This fire pit is very quickly going to become a regular fixture in my household. It's compact, it's comforting, and it has a sleek and elegant appearance. I would've found it helpful to be told an estimate of an appropriate amount of alcohol to add to the combustion cup, for the sake of ensuring that I didn't add too much - and for estimating how much I should purchase for the initial use. For my first usage, I poured a bit over 8oz of alcohol into the chamber, which was plenty to start the fire - but I extinguished it after a few minutes, so I've no idea how much alcohol would be needed for a specific, or longer, period of burning time. But that 8oz of alcohol was enough to create a lovely flame. Although the directions were a bit unclear regarding how the cotton strips (included in the kit) should've been aligned in the combustion chamber, I folded both of them in half and used the both at the same time. The flame was easy to extinguish, although I really didn't want to stop enjoying it. My primary intention is to use this fire pit as a meditation and relaxation aid, but I can easily see it being a gathering focal point for family and friends. The pit size is large enough to be a table centerpiece, yet easily used in an apartment or condo which doesn't have a fireplace. While it can be placed outdoors, I will use it inside. I imagine this will be a very well utilized item during the upcoming winter months, especially given that I live in Chicago - where our blustery winters often leave me inclined to stay indoors. Now I have a fire I can enjoy on those snowy evenings.

This little firepit is well made, neat looking, and can add a nice ambience to any outdoor setting. What I like most is that it is fueled by common rubbing alcohol, which is inexpensive and easy to find in any drugstore.
