Started off with high hopes. Fire pit table had good reviews. Paying more but I already have a less expensive fire pit table that doesn’t work. Then I started the assembly process and got stuck at step 3. They provided two F panels instead of an F and a J. The panel is labeled J but is clearly an F so the tank holder won’t mount. Sent information to East Oak and was told to order a replacement unit since the part is not available. Update: The replacement arrived in a few days, had all the right parts and assembled quickly! The glass guard is a little challenging to assemble. 8 brackets and four pieces of glass all have to be aligned and tightened. I’d recommend placing on a flat surface like a countertop and assembling there. East Oak provided a partial refund for my inconvenience so that was appreciated! The completed fire table looks very nice! Seems like it will throw a lot of heat but haven’t used much yet. ... show more

I had help to assemble it, but if I had to do it again, one person could assemble this without too much difficulty. I like the fact that I can close off the flame part and use it as a table. With the glass installed it is a nice safety feature. The neighbor's children are in their teens and we let them roast hotdogs over it. I wouldn't recommend using marshmallows, because if they fell off the skewer it would be difficult to clean out. It is a very sturdy assembly and looks nice even without the flame. It uses a standard propane tank as you would use for a grill. The amount of heat it throws is pretty impressive especially if you have a roof over it as a gazebo would. Even on my deck that has no roof, I imagine this winter it will be nice to sit around on a cool evening. ... show more

    • Fasteners for the side panels are almost impossible to screw down tightly

what should have been a 20 minute assembly turned out to be a 2 hour nightmare. We almost packed this up and returned it. Seems that the screws do not quite fit on the side panels unless they are absolutely straight. They would go in about half way and then get "stuck". This was only on the frame components! We finally got all of the screws tightened except for one. Looks like a poor quality component. The unit itself is very nice. Design is modern and clean. The height is great and yes, you can get your knees under the table versus the old fire table we had. The heat output is really high and even on low the flame is substantial. Definitely need the glass wind protector but it looks great on the table. Part 2: This company cares about client opinions! I received an email from customer service and gave them my feedback. They’re looking and the problem and hope they’ll come u with a solution. They were on the ball and followed u several times. Service is great and makes problems less severe. ... show more

This beautiful table was very easy to assemble. Everything lined up perfectly. I was very surprised as an older female, I was able to put it together myself. I love everything about it. Easy set up and everything fits perfectly. Looks beautiful and it is a welcome addition to our deck. My only and I mean only gripe is glass stone is less than stellar. Nothing that would make me knock off a star but the glass is brown and below the flame pole. Price is very reasonable and the black glass top looks gorgeous as the flames flicker and dance in the nighttime air. Grab a bottle of wine and cozy up.
