I am a techy .. not so much a geek or a gamer but I have been in the industry for many years. I use my desktop for most everything but I always wanted to get a tablet. Since its the holiday season I figured I could get one on sale. I was prepared to get a name brand and spend $400+ for it. Then I came across this one and decided to take a chance, especially for the money. This tab is worth the price. The screen is crisp and bright, the storage is ample, and it is a true quad core processor. The chip reports as a jr-j71 (do not know it) 4 x 1.51 Ghz 32 bit chip. Its fast enough for puttering around the internet. Not sure about any gaming as I don't really play them. There is an external storage slot and it reads my 64 gig card just fine. I don't have anything on it yet but I did use it to move some data over from my old phone to the tablet and then stored the data to the internal storage. Again, for me there is ample room. There is a headphone jack and it works but I do not plan on using it.. The speakers are clean and loud enough. If you are serious about your music you will probably want to use your earbuds or headphones. I know that's what I would do. My only real knocks are the wifi .. it only supports 2.4 GHz networks, there is no support for 5 GHz wifis and I found that disappointing. The only other knock is the overall speed of the system could be a pinch faster for me but I am willing to bet the average person would not mind at all. I installed the Niagra Launcher (thought about installing Nova) and it works fine. There are a handful of apps that are not compatible (Handcent Next SMS for example) and I will either need to find something else or just do without.. but there are plenty that are compatible and I am sure I can make it work. I have Outlook for email working, nothing else Office related only because I didn't get the tablet for work. Any app in the Google Play Store that is not compatible is not displayed so if you are having a hard time finding something that you know is out there, this may be why. Other than my SMS program, everything else works fine. Android 10 was pre-installed and the few weeks that I have had it, no issues. No updates as of yet except for maybe when I first turned it on. I did buy a case for it (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09BBKKDQV?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details) and its nice enough.. I do recommend getting one as even for the price I dont want to damage it if I can help it. The case fits fine as it was designed specifically for this product and is not generic. All in all, I like the tablet and it works great for my uses. I can deal with the slower wifi only setting and am even used to it now so I dont even notice it. If this is will be your first tablet then I highly recommend it. You can always spend more for the next one.

Right out of the box the setup was a snap. It downloaded all of my Android Apps great, and there is no "bloatware", but the update took a long time. Once downloaded it works just like an Android phone (without the phone capability of course) but the processing power is notably much less than my phone (downloading, handling multiple tasks simultaneously, changing screens etc.) It is slow but it works well. The battery life is a bit suspect but only time will tell if it's an issue for me. The display and speaker sound are in line with this price point and good enough for what I need from it. If you're interested in a simple to use budget Android tablet I would recommend giving it a try. Good luck with finding a quality case for it however. I bought a universal case which is fair in terms of quality, fit etc.

Like many people who get a Fire tablet and realize that not all apps are compatible with it, I had the same problem with this tablet. It might work with most really basic apps, I was surprised and very disappointed to discover that the apps I wanted and needed were not compatible. The Yahoo Mail app wasn't even compatible. Some of the games that I wanted to transfer over from my phone to a larger screen weren't compatible either. The tablet also ran very slow. I returned it after a few days of sadness and frustration. Update: I'm lowering my rating down to 1 star after I was just contacted by the seller, telling me they would give me money if I deleted this review. This was either A) A scam to get my PayPal info or B) A disgusting attempt to raise their ratings. Either way, it lowered my already low opinion.

The biggest irony is that the packaging and the opening template claim 'Smart Life Within Reach'. The main purpose of this purchase was to have Smart Life at my fingertips constantly streaming the video from my front lawn, as the first Android tablet that I purchased for this reason underperformed. On this newer, larger Android, Smart Life loaded and produced the desired video, for about 4 or 5 minutes. The picture disappeared, restored, disappeared, restored, disappeared over and again until it just disappeared and would not restore. After all other troubleshooting tactics, I uninstalled Smart Life with the hopes of reinstalling. The image captured here is of that second attempt to install. As this process began over 20 minutes ago, I thought you may like to know that The Spinning Wheel of Death even still sits on the screen, creating the sensation that the '43 hours' tag is not an exaggeration. Meanwhile, on a much smaller Android (Kindle) multiple movie streaming app downloads + Smart Life acquisition have successfully and rapidly taken place; it is just so darn perky by comparison. The smaller, more receptive device cost about $30 less and performs beautifully with Smart Life video feeds. While Smart Life did not provide the constant feed that I was looking for on a third, smaller Android, it would at least connect. Neither of the two smaller Androids advertise any connection to Smart Life in any way. The irony. * after a couple of days with this device, I am upgrading the star rating from 1 to 3, because it does well streaming all the movie apps. I couldn't make it a four-star because every app that I downloaded initially would claim that I did not have an internet connection when I tried to sign in. By accident I discovered that we must let the screens sit on that error message for several minutes and then click 'okay' for the apps to allow a successful login.
