At first glance this lamp would be ideal for a nightstand. It's dimmable, has a couple of USB ports, and an extra outlet (2-prong only). Curiously, the instruction manual claims it features wireless charging, however the product page does not. I don't have a phone that supports that feature, so can't tell you which is correct. The outlet and USB ports worked. The lamp did, indeed, have three brightness settings. For some people this lamp would be perfect. But there were a couple of places where it didn't hit the mark for me - hence the 4-star review. First - The brightness is controlled by touching the lamp. Touch once for lowest level, again for medium, again for brightness, and once more to shut the light off. So that's the first annoyance - any time you want to shut the lamp off you have to cycle to the brightest level. As a lamp for a nightstand you'd really want to be able to set the brightness and on/off separately, so if you want to use it at night you don't have to hit the brightest light to turn it off. Second - and related to this - the lamp control isn't just the base - the touch feature applies to every metal part of the lamp. So any time you move the lamp, or hold it in place in order to plug in a USB device or AC, the light level is going to switch - probably multiple times. This is also annoying. Finally, while the bulb is very nice looking and decorative, I'd prefer a more diffuse light for a nightstand. Fortunately it uses a standard E26 LED bulb, so it should be easy enough to replace if you don't like the one provided. So, overall a very nice lamp. It was packed extremely well. It works well (keeping in mind that I could not test the wireless charging feature that may or may not be present). It just doesn't work quite the way I would want it to. ... show more

I got this lamp to use at my desk to help with illumination, which I think it'll be quite suited for. It is a little lower in overall height, which means it casts a shadow over my workpieces when I'm using only this lamp as my light source, which isn't a dealbreaker but definitely detracts from my overall impression. Mine was also a little crooked out of the box, but it was packaged rather well so I'm thinking the post might have bent a little as I was unpacking it and I had no issues bending it back into place. The touch features are very responsive and it even comes with USB ports and an outlet so that you can keep the total number of outlets you had available and then some! I really love this lamp, it is really pretty and works as intended. The glass isn’t perfect but it gives it character which I like. My favorite setting is the dimmest which is really nice at night. The only thing I don’t love is that when you plug into the side outlets it’s hard not to enable the touch settings, so you’ll end up changing the settings and needing to cycle back through them. Maybe folks who are more careful than me wouldn’t have that issue. I don’t expect to use the outlets so this doesn’t affect my experience of the product much, but I could see it being annoying if you want to make frequent use of the outlets. ... show more

I bought this for my son who is going off to college this month. He needed a desk lamp and I thought this one looked cool and had some useful features; touch on/off and USB ports! The lamp is well made, the touch works great and the bulb throws a decent amount of light. You can basically touch it anywhere there is metal and it will cycle through the low, medium, high and off settings. The 2 USB ports are good for charging a phone and watch or similar overnight. There is also a 2 prong AC connection so you can plug in something else, but the direction of the port will make it difficult to plug in anything with a larger than standard iPhone "power block" (AC to DC converter) on it. On the lamp I received it is on the side of the base, not the top near the post like it is shown in the manufacturers picture. I would also suggest they add a Qi charger in the base so you can just place your phone on the base at night and wake up to it fully charged. Other than these minor quibbles, it is a nicely made lamp with useful features that I'm sure my son will get a lot of use out of! ... show more

This lamp is perfect. It is bright enough to light a room in a soft warm light, small enough to not be a focal point in the room, the extra charging ports are awesome and the extra outlet on the lamp is even nicer. It's great for a small space. Really like this lamp. Good value.

Wow, 5 stars!! I am in love with this desk lamp! Everything from the Einstein bulb to the USB ports to the touch capability! I ordered this for my son to use on his desk at college in the fall, thinking that the USB ports and extra outlet port would come in handy for charging his phone and headphones. We were both very pleasantly surprised to discover features that we weren't even expecting. I'm sure it's in the description, but the touch on/off and ability to dim the lamp are wonderful features for a dorm room and/or home office desk. It has 4 settings, 3 light settings (dim, medium, and bright), and off. You can touch it anywhere on the metal base or stand to adjust brightness and on/off. It works every time and is not finicky like a lot of other touch lamps out there. It looks and feels high quality, has an edge to it with the Einstein bulb and glass shade. Oh, and it is a real glass shade, the only thing that has me a bit concerned in a dorm room ;-). I highly recommend this touch lamp with the added convenience of the USB and outlet ports. You just can't get such a gorgeous lamp with these features for this price anywhere else. It would be fabulous wherever it lives - bedroom, home office, dorm room, or wall street executive's marble desk...you can't go wrong with this one! ... show more
