After using several laser engravers over the past couple of years, I keep coming back to this size and power level as the sweet spot for most people. The 7000mW output and 200 x 150 mm work area are more than enough for the vast majority of projects a beginner or hobbyist will tackle. What I continue to appreciate is how quickly you can go from opening the box to actually making something. Assembly is simple, the app connectivity is convenient, and even someone with no previous engraving experience can realistically be producing projects in about 30 minutes with a little patience. The engraving quality is excellent for a machine in this price range. Whether you’re personalizing cutting boards, leather goods, ornaments, coasters, business cards, or gifts, the results are impressive enough that you could confidently sell what you make at craft fairs or online. I also like that it doesn’t require a huge investment to get started. There are certainly larger and more powerful machines available, but many people never need them. This laser engraver was much easier to get started with than expected. One of my favorite parts is the app. It’s simple to navigate and made setup and creating projects much less intimidating. The machine itself feels well made and folds up nicely for storage or portability. It’s compact without feeling cheaply built. The engraving quality came out clean with good detail, and it worked well on small projects and crafts. The precision is impressive, especially for personal projects and customization.
