This is a really nice kitchen knife set that comes with a knife block to make it a complete package. It comes nicely packaged to ensure all the contents are protected. Each knife is nicely wrapped with a safety tip protector followed by a plastic sleeve and a paper sleeve to protect the blade. The knife block is well designed for beauty and functionality. Its slim design will fit in any kitchen and save space. I liked the well thought placement of the steel rod and shears located on the sides. The rear slots are for all the steak knives while the rest of the knives are held on by the front magnetic panel. The magnet is pretty strong and holds the knives in place if you place them correctly with the bolsters of the knives sitting flush with the top of the magnetic panel, otherwise the knives will slant like in one of the pictures due to weight shift. The knives come sharp out of the box and the handle design is comfortable to hold with the DOT holes in the handle to help with grip. I can't see anything negative with this knife set after trying them out for a couple of days. I do use a steak knife more often than the serrated(utility) knife so I put a steak knife on the magnet for easier access and the serrated in the back slot. The only thing that might be a problem to some kitchen is the lack of head space where the cupboards will be above the knife block and that can prevent access to the steak knives, steel rod sharpener, and shears. This quality knife set will be a joy to use for many years to come. I would recommend it to anyone in the market for a set or a gift. ... show more

I just got these so I haven’t had a chance to test them out long term but the set looks great! I love the stainless steel and the magnetic holder. It feels very premium to be able to just slap them onto the magnetic bar instead of having to find the right hole to insert them into like the traditional wooden blocks that most knives come in. I’m a little nervous about some of the reviews saying they rust easily, I guess time will tell though. ... show more

I recently just moved into a brand new house. TO GOD BE THE GLORY! I wanted a new set of knives. These are statement knives 🔪. You have to know what you are doing because these are no joke. The media could not be loaded. The Syokami knife set is not only visually appealing but also highly functional, providing a comprehensive collection of knives. I initially planned to replace my old knives one by one, but the Syokami set helped streamlined the process by offering all the necessary knives at once. Comprising 14 pieces, the set includes a wooden stand deliberately crafted with a slanted design for effortless removal of knives held by magnets. I was confused about the slant at first, but after placing all the knives on the stand and removing each, I understood the intention of the design, easy removal! Among the 14 pieces, there are practical additions: a pair of multipurpose scissors and a sharpening steel. The scissors has many features, including a bottle opener and a nut/crab shell cracker. While the need for sharpening hasn't arisen yet, the inclusion of a sharpening steel grants peace of mind, after potential periods of extensive cutting and chopping. My personal favorite within the set is to the 6 steak knives. They are exceptional sharp and slender, which honestly make them pretty great for chopping small vegetables, especially for someone with small hands like me. The only thing down side that is that I wish the bread knife is a bit thinner than it is. Other than that, I would definitely recommend this to someone looking for a full set of kitchen knives! ... show more
