Great knives. The magnet works well and I don’t think it’s too strong. Saves space and is sturdy. They are super sharp and cut through meat almost like cutting through room temp butter. I did a not so smart thing and almost cut the tip of my finger off before I realized what was going on. Thankfully my nail stopped it before the knife could go all the way across. The only negative? thing is the little emblem printed on the knives will wash off. I have hand washed my knives and never put them in the dishwasher so be aware that will come off with normal use.

This is the first set of knives I have purchased and over a decade. Since think they are good quality and I've been using them everyday for almost two weeks

These knives are great so far, as long as you follow the care instructions they should last a long time. Several reviews have complaints about rusting, well those people didn’t follow the care instructions. These knives appear to be made from silver steel like a straight razor and will rust if you leave them in water. The instructions are to wash immediately after use with a wash cloth not a sponge or scouring pad then fully dry with a towel. If you do that then it will be impossible for rust to set in. Other complaints and I’m not sure why it’s such a big deal is the branding washes off, well it is just ink, it’s not etched in and scrubbing of the logo will in time rub off. Wash lightly and the logo should last a good while. Personally I don’t care, these are no name brand knives so the logo isn’t important. The logo doesn’t affect the usefulness of the knives. Speaking of usefulness, these knives are really sharp. I actually shaved the hair off my arm easily with the steak knives testing the blade. The larger knives cut nice and evenly with little effort. Cutting a tomato each slice was perfectly straight, lots of knives cut a tapered slice. As for the block, the block is made from beechwood which isn’t a super hard wood and is probably why the magnet works. The block is glued together with (I believe) only 2 screws in the bottom. When moving the block around, grab it by the base, not the sides and it should never come apart. If it ever does come apart I’ll just reglue it and maybe put a couple more screws in it no biggie. As for now, I’m thrilled with the knives. Even your top brands like Hinckels are not without issue, so these are a really good buy.

I really like these knives! They are super sharp and have accidentally sliced my husband's and children's fingers. So beware. They are very good quality and definitely a step up from the cheap knives I used to have. I'm excited.
