These are incredible. I have a roughly 80 foot-square yard and these manage to throw light to the far end. It is a narrow 40 degree beam, but there's still enough light thrown off the sides to be visible.

Well made, very nice bulbs, incredibly bright! These have a very nice wide flood lens and are great at directing the light for superior coverage. I had some old Cree 120W bulbs that looked more like the old incandescent bulbs. They worked OK and were nearly 10 years old, just not that bright. BTW, the fixtures I used them in were a dual RAB Stealth 360 security light. I did not experience any issues with fitment in the sockets or lamp like some others have commented. Purchased this bulb for a lamp in the Family Room. Does an excellent job in brightening the room with soft white light. Only problem is that it emits RF interference that blocks OTA (antenna) TV signal on Channel 2. I couldn't understand why sometimes Channel 2 came in 100% , and other times there was no signal at all. Then I just happened to notice that while watching TV, when the light came on the signal disappeared. I can do it at will. Light off = TV, light on = no TV. It only happens on the one channel so the bulb apparently emits interference at that frequency. Not a huge problem, but something to be aware of. ... show more

I can't seem to get a decent photo of what I am describing, but one of the nifty things about these lensed LEDs is that if you look at the front face of them, with the power OFF, so you aren't blinded by all those lumens, you can tell exactly where these bulbs are pointing with that 15 degree beam width. If you stand back about 15-20 feet or so, When your eye is dead center of the dead center of the beam, you can see a yellow circle in the middle of the lens, when you are off center, the circle turns into a line . . . very useful after trying to go blind if you are dumb enough, like me, to look into that 2500-2600 lumen 15 degree narrow beam . . . cuts down on the wiggling around of the lamp holder at night . . . nice color too, very incandescent looking, with 1 tenth the wattage of the halogens they replaced . . . ... show more

And a LOT of it. Don't be like a certain U.S. president during a partial solar eclipse and look directly at them -- they are seriously bright. I replaced a couple of older (> 13 years since they came with the house) halogen bulbs and one of these crushed two of those. I was specifically looking for dimmable led to hang 20 feet up to light up the back yard. I bought cheaper lights for the front and side but I wanted the kids to be able to play in the back and they definitely deliver. They are also 5000K which means "daylight" white...not yellow...which again is what I wanted in the back yard. I have them Alexa controlled using a leviton wifi enabled led dimmable switch. So the bulb is NOT Alexa enabled..the switch is..I just wanted to be clear. At the lowest "Alexa 1%" setting of the switch it is still pretty bright but that's because of the switch too...I think. Anyway...if you're looking for a "brighter than most" par38 bulb you're in the right place. They've only been up a few weeks so I can't tell you about longevity but if something happens I'll be sure to update. I expect to get a lot of use out of these this spring and summer.
