    • Super Rad, But No Motion Detection Included

Don't be fooled by Amazon's inclusion of this very we'll priced item in your search results: it does not have a motion sensor. The "sensor" it has is only the sensing of dusk to dawn ... just as it says in the title. I know. I saw it very clearly after I needed to return the darn thing. Oops! Lol. Don't play the fool like I have. As you've read this, I'm sure you will be saved from such a silly trick. I totally get that Amazon is trying to make sure I'm aware of all the options out there, but this was not at all what I was looking for. It has a great size, brightness level, and otherwise aesthetic, but it is not going to work in my room where I would like full on darkness unless I get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night because I drank too much water too late. I am a HUGE nightlight guy, have them spread throughout my home and you can walk from one end to the other without ever having to turn on a light and I have strongly disliked previous LED nightlights I have tried as I am not a fan of the piercing ultra-white light they put off compared to the nice, warm, yellowey-white of my old 4 watt bulb nightlights BUT I LOVE THESE Sycees LED's (!!) and I bought a second set and have now retired all my old energy-eating 4 watters. MANY GREAT FEATURES with these; the square outer ring you see is a plastic lens that recreates the wonderful WARM glow of a standard filament-style bulb (so no more piercing white LED light) and the ring is composed of 8 individual LED bulbs that are evenly spaced with 2 bulbs on each side and it broadcasts the light PERFECTLY with a BROAD spread of light and is every bit as bright (brighter actually) as my brightest & best 4 watt, and SO VERY WELL distributed which casts a fantastic and full amount of light. Another thing I love is how well the on/ off light sensors work and that they come on progressively with about 3 levels of brightness as the room gets darker and darker, so they appear to be a 3-stage set up and when even the SLIGHTEST bit of light is received by the sensor, they shut themselves off. After trying out the first set of 6 for a week, I went and purchased a second, so two sets ... 12 nightlights total, and ALL OF THEM WORK THIS WELL and it's been two months now that I've been using them. There are none that "almost" work as well as the others, so the quality is super consistent apparently. ALSO, the plug on the back is off-center so it doesn't block the other plug on your homes wall outlet and is non-polarized so you can plug in it right-side up or upside down into your outlet, so no need to rearrange any of your existing lamps or devices that have to be plugged in to either the top or bottom of the outlet ... EASY PEASEY!! I have a couple that are behind furniture and even those turn off easily in the early morning light while my old filament bulb ones NOT behind furniture would remain on for another half-hour or longer before sensing enough light to turn off, and being LED ... these will probably pay for themselves within a year and I am really thankful that I rolled the dice and tried them. Also, no more need to keep a steady 4-pack of replacement bulbs in my utility drawer, so more money saved. FYI - I don't write many reviews but these were worthy of my time here. ... show more
