Style: 1/30 HP Condensate Pump
I replaced one of the old school float Style condensation pumps for the air conditioner in my basement. The other one, which is only a few years old, kept sticking and preventing the air condition from coming on. This unit does not have a float. It seems to work on sensors in then rides that extend down into the tank. It's a sleek little unit. There are four intake holes along the top that work with your traditional half inch PVC pipe coming off your air condition. There's a test button on the top just so you can make sure it's working. And when it is pumping water, it's very quiet. If you run a test without water in there it makes a loud squeaking sound but that's not how it sounds when there's actually water in there. But I wasn't sure about when I bought it was whether it had wiring to connect to your AC's overflow shut off but it does. It's extremely simple to wire up. You just plug one end into the pump and wire up the other ends of the two wires to your overflow safety wiring, it doesn't matter which one goes to which, and you're in business. I'm not had any problems with this unit not pumping water or my air conditioner not coming on since I installed this pump.

Easy to install, look like a good quality product, very quiet compared to other pumps, and the price was comparable to other weaker products. The pump does whine loudly until it is primed, but then is super quiet. Product functions properly and fit in the space allotted. Highly recommend.

I initially purchased a Little Giant pump but the humidity in our area would cause it to go off every 3-5 minutes when the HVAC would run and once the water had collected, it was in our basement but could be heard from the bathroom through the ducts. I purchased this because I was tired of hearing the Little Giant, but honestly they are the same exact sound level so I’m quiet disappointed as this is advertised as “super quiet” — However the positive is that this is a very strong pump and it pushes A LOT of water out in one go so while it’s just as loud as the little giant it is so much stronger and doesn’t go off as often! The design is also much better and it has little details like a lock and a test pump button that make it the better choice in my opinion. In summary, it’s not as quiet as it’s advertised to be but it’s a very powerful and well-designed pump that’s much better than the slightly cheaper alternatives. It has only been a day but so far I’m satisfied with this pump!

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE 7/1/25: Pump still runs great. Haven’t had any issues other than doing maintenance on the pump. One of the best pumps I’ve ordered. Currently have a bottleless RO dispenser with a built in ice maker that requires access to a drain mainly due to the thawed ice having to drain somewhere. Since the dispenser is installed in my living room, having a condensation pump was necessary due to the lack of drain access. Downside of that is the noise the pump makes and it would run over 12 times per day due to the ice thawing. So I was looking into either replace it with a quieter pump or make a sound enclosure, which I didn’t want due to adding more bulk behind the machine. I elected to replace it. After looking at my options, I ended up going with the Cleartide. This pump was definitely the only one that I know of that fulfilled my requirement in terms of noise level. And yes, the pump is actually quiet to the point where I can’t tell whether the motor is running. Also, the pump does have a a good amount of power, better than my former Little Giant pump (still working). The overall design of the pump looks clean and minimalistic compared to my old pump. I like the fact that the entire unit looks flat and uniform instead of having an hump on the top lid that many others have. Keep in mind that the tank may be slightly taller than your old one since the impeller have a shorter clearance than your traditional one. Even though the overall appearance won’t matter for most people, some may take that as a consideration. Now for the important part. I’ve read some reviews about this pump going bad after a short term but time will tell on how long it lasts. It’s either a hit or miss in terms of getting support. So far I haven’t experienced any issues mainly due to just installing it recently but if you plan on buying one of these, expect to be a beta tester since there’s a lot of electronics involved and the manufacture is still new to the market. Hopefully I don’t have to go with that route. Because of this, I couldn’t justify giving the product a 5/5. I will update this review if I ever experience an issue with my pump.

Very easy to install as a replacement. It runs super quiet and performs as described. I did have to improvise a work around to make the included tubing receive my permanent installed copper discharge outlet from the ac unit.

Installed easily, ran well and was quiet. The next morning found it dead and my basement flooded. Now won’t power on. Should have bought a Little Giant, which I will order after temporarily reinstalling the aging loud Superior condensate pump and drying out my basement.

Pumps up a steep grade and for the money, perfect when I purchased it to drain my indoor AC I'm not supposed to have sneakily into the downspout. Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do when it's 90°F in your bedroom and you work third shift, alright? It's already proven its worth to me the first night I got to sleep with my AC again so we don't have a repeat of extremely cold water overflowing the bucket onto a hot hardwood floor. Drains perfectly.
