Pros: my kids love it, it looks nice, and I like all the different climbing features Cons: assembly took quite a while, partly because some of the predrilled holes were in the wrong spot or missing entirely. We either had to drill our own, or figure out another way to connect pieces which makes me concerned for safety and stability. We’ve also already had three of the monkey bars come loose after the screw heads broke off, and that’s with it only being played on a handful of times. Hopefully it holds up, but I’m skeptical at this point.

The media could not be loaded. So we have the indoor chestnut and my kids Love it. It’s held up great. We wanted an outdoor play set that wasn’t huge nor ugly. This is Really cute aesthetically, even though the spider swing doesn’t match at all and the stain is a tad orange for my liking. I love that it has so many ways to climb, as many play sets don’t even have monkey bars. However, the anchors to anchor the swing set are really awkward to get into the ground. We had to use a drill tool to pilot a hole. It’s necessary to anchor, because my 4 year old swung on the swing and the swing set went into one leg. I called before purchasing this to ask about it being placed on grass and found out that it is meant to be on grass. I see pros and cons to this. I looked into play area ground covering like bark, sand, rubber, etc. They all have some form of toxicity or choking hazard, etc. Grass is the best and it doesn’t feel so separated from the rest of the yard. BUT this wood feels very soft and my husband is unsure how we will mow and weed wack around it without damaging it. It was literally l scratched and dented just taking the stickers off with a fingernail. The description on Amazon says cedar wood. Our fence is also cedar and is not this delicate and soft. We’ve had this play set up for a few hours now, it took 5 1/2 hours to build. My children and neighbor kids love it so far. Our concern is the long term durability between mowing and sprinklers. We’ll update as time goes on. I really hope it can withstand the backyard and weather elements because we don’t want to buy or build another anytime soon. As I stated before, we love our indoor jungle gym from Avenlur, but this one has me a little concerned right out the gate.
