These stools have a very wide base, something to take into consideration. I think about mopping the floor - you wouldn't want to splash mop water on the base, so you'll have to move them out of the way, unlike mopping around stools with four legs. Just a thought. The seat area is quite large, so it is appropriate for most sizes, then. To raise the stool, my two anyway, I have to have a foot on the ground or it won't lift up. Putting your feet or one foot on the foot bar, still no, it won't raise up. Even just lifting your body, like a little jump up, still no. To go down, no need to do that, certainly. The cushioning is firm and supportive and comfortable. They are a quite good-looking stool, mine are a mid-tone orange, bright but soft. I poured some water on mine and the water just sat there, didn't soak into it, and you couldn't even tell that it had been there, so I was glad to see that. ... show more

These chairs come with all the hardware you need to assemble including an Allen wrench. The instructions are concise and easy to read. My husband had them built in about 15 mins. They fit our bar perfectly at the highest height. They are easy to adjust. They are well made. I found no flaws or sewing issues with the seats or any scratches or dents in the bases. They're pretty solidly constructed and take the weight of people easily without becoming unsteady. I'm very happy with this set and would buy again. Highly recommend. ... show more

Assembly was super easy and the final product looked just like we expected. The instructions were very very clear and straightforward. The quality of leather is fantastic and makes clean-up easy when the kids make a mess on the seats. We'd had fabric cushioned chairs previously and it didn't go well with our daughter's art projects. The chairs are incredibly comfortable and look great. Part of the base of one of the stools was damaged when it arrived; see the photo. This is the one and only piece of feedback - maybe better packaging? The product is excellent and well worth the money. If the problem of potential damage from shipping can be solved, this is easily a five star item. ... show more
