UPDATE 12/19/2024 I updated my review from 1 star to 5! When I posted my initial review, I also emailed the Seller. They replied promptly and offered to send me a new set of barstools. I declined this offer since I had managed to get the bar stools assembled after taking the posts to a friends machine shop and cutting the black caps off. Additionally, once assembled, the scratches on the base were barely noticeable. Instead, they gave me a discount for all of the trouble I went through. On the strength of their customer service alone, I upped my review to 5 stars!! Excellent Seller!! Original review: 2 of the 3 barstools in the set arrived with paint scratches on the base. Assemble of the bar seat/back is easy enough, but I am unable to get the black cap off the gas piston on any of the stools - it's almost as if they're welded on.....consequently, I cannot finish assembly. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

Pro: I love quality/feel of the cushion material, color and cost. They are exactly what I was looking for. I have received compliments on the appearance. Con: The adjustable seats will go down slightly when you sit on them, be prepared. It seems like they go down slightly more the heavier you are. This affects the sturdiness a little for the people that might be older/less agile.

These would be decent (but not great) bar stools if they worked as they should. No matter how hard I try to figure out why they aren't adjustable, the only position they will hold is "down"! The levers which are supposed to allow you to adjust the height of the stools are totally useless. Of course I tossed the box thinking I could figure out the issue, but I was wrong. No amount of referring to the instructions and trying to find a solution has worked and I am once again stuck with a product I am very dissatisfied with!

I've had these for a while now and I love them & get compliments on them all the time. Look great and easy to clean. I work from home and frequently work from my kitchen counter where these are and they're even more comfortable than my office chair. Full disclosure, I use them on their lowest height and don't raise them up very often so can't really speak to how they'd hold up if you constantly raised them up and down but they've easily held all shapes and sizes of people so no reason to think they wouldn't last.
