Nice little camera, does what I want. Video quality is as I expected, easy to set up in the app, and easy to install in location. The app is easy to use. I love the option in the app to have multiple cams in 1 view (Multiview). PLEASE NOTE- hub is not needed to view cameras outside of Bluetooth range. -Suggestion/question #1- When will they offer this camera in black? I'm so surprised that this is not a thing yet with Switchbot. Some people want to make this camera as invisible as possible. White works in some cases, a black one would work in the other case. -Suggestion 2- I think they should include a right-angle adapter for the power cable, so it can fit better if you have to install and position it against a wall. -Suggestion 3- give the option to rotate in 90 degrees increments and not just 180 degrees. That will open up more flexible mountings. -Suggestion 4- Widgets to go directly to cam view would be nice. Not a deal breaker- BUT it would be nice to have a stage of night vision that keeps the IR lights off like the Wyze cam.

To clarify, this review is not about the camera itself, it is a caution against buying used on Amazon or anywhere else. Once this camera has been registered to a users SwitchBot account, it cannot be registered to another users account until the first user unregistered it. So, odds are that a used camera will already be registered to someone else’s account and you will be unable to use it. Supposedly tech support can fix this issue, but so far they have not responded to my requests. This will be going back.

Pros: - Stream on my Nest Hub! - Easy to setup - Good image with and without Night Vision - Motion Sensor differentiate Cat and Human - The magnet allow you to stick it everywhere Cons: - Lack of stability if used without screws or sticker - Would I like USB-C - Android Apps need more improvement At first glance, the camera seem well made, comparable to any other camera in this price range. The base of the cam could have been heavier, it would have made it more stable, you will really need the screw it or stick it with the screws and sticker include in the package, but they also include a magnet inside which is useful to stick it on everything metal (see picture). I'm disappointed that they don't use USB-C instead of the micro USB, this is a newly device and I would have expected this, but this is a minor point overall. The image quality is quite good when streaming, motion detector have nice "human detection" feature, it will detect me but not my cat as expected. The night mode works well with a clear and nice image. The speaker and microphone are a turn down, it reminded me of old school baby monitor from the 90s, you'll hardly be able to really have a 2 way conversation with it. The setup process was easy, I would have appreciate a guide to connect it to Google Home, it'll setup as any other device compatible with Google Home but still it could be hard for newcomer. Once connected to Google Home I was able to stream it's content on my Nest Hub. As any device connected to the Cloud, I was concerned about security, some further research show me they use AWS behind, which is normally pretty secure. If you have other SwitchBot devices and want an indoor camera, it will do great and fit with your ecosystem. If you don't have others devices from the same company and are not interested in their ecosystem, this camera will do well too, but other camera will also do the same works so it's up to you to find the best price. I have to mention their Android Apps, it works.. but really lack of polish. The good point is that software could be updated and improved, the have a good base, but I hope they will put more importance in it in the future.

The camera has been great for watching the cats when we are away from home. The mic lets us talk to them and the camera has a night vision option. Instructions were clear and the camera was easy to set up and take down as needed.

I use this for my bedroom because I want to know if anyone goes into my private room. I can watch the live stream(encrypted) and I get alerts on my phone when motion is detected. The camera was easy to set up. It's very customizable. This is honestly a steal for the price. Night vision is pretty good. Motion detection sensitivity can be changed, and it's very useful. The app logs me out sometimes but I just log back in. If you're needing a security camera for a good price, this is the one. Just be sure to insert an external SD card into it so keeps your recordings! 9/10*

It works well enough. Motion detection is extremely spotty. I can walk by the camera several times and it won’t pick any of it up. If it picks some up while I’m gone, I have to be on Wifi to see it. It doesn’t work well when my phone is on data. The night vision and picture quality is great, though!

Cameras are very easy to install. Not much to it. Click the base where you want it, or don’t. Download SwitchBot app. Plug in power cord. The app walks you easily through the steps. I connected mine to my Alexa so that I can use the cameras to trigger routines. I purchased a micro SD card to save any photos I may need, but there is also a cloud option. The cameras have the option to either continuously save video or just any motion that triggered camera. I attached two pictures. One is night vision. The other is day vision showing view from app. I like the product and at the price, I will probably buy more. I definitely will buy other items they make. They both look and feel of quality.
