You can use a rubber mallet or a small chisel to take down the corners and both methods worked just fine.

I basically purchased these brackets due to the color. They went well with the play set that I already had. I had read the reviews from several manufacturers and they all seem to be similar. So I went with the color. The brackets seem to be constructed from good material and the powder coating was excellent. It stated that I probably would have to trim down the wood so it would fit into the bracket. It was very minimal. If I were to build another swing set I would not hesitate to purchase these brackets.

These look to be well built brackets. The pair I got, I had to cut down the 4x6 and press fit them on. The pockets for the 4x4 had quite a bit of play in them.

Not quite finished swing set pictured. Was able to build the swing set by myself with help from a ladder. Parts seem very high quality with no defects found. Having the lag bolts included was huge. Ultimately I know that you can build this A frame completely from wood, but it would be more difficult to accomplish with a similar angle spreading away from the swings and it would be a lot more costly in terms of time, lumber, and screws. My time feels very precious right now and having the piece of mind this joinery offers can't be beat.

These are wonderful I loved that there was no cutting necessary, just put your boards in and screw em down. These started out as a yard chair swing for me and ended up as a chair and swing set for the grandkids too.
