  • Would order again!
Previously ordered some fish from this company a few weeks ago and didn’t have any luck. In my new order, they provided me with some extras (due to DOA) and this time they’re all healthy and thriving!!

  • Great customer service
Fast shipping, good quality CPDs. Unfortunately, one of the bags leaked almost all of its water during shipping and some of the fish died, which is very sad. Swimming creatures sent an extra fish in this order and processed a refund for the doa’s within a couple of hours. Make sure you use the phone number to text them for doa’s. I really feel bad for this fish that didn’t survive, but they were very apologetic and quick to fix the financial end of the tragedy. They got a nice burial in the garden. ... show more

  • Awesome fish, fantastic seller, great all around experience
Awesome, awesome, awesome fish and great seller. I've been purchasing almost exclusively from Swimming Creatures lately, and they have never failed to disappoint. Aside from neo shrimp I've had zero DOA's, (and the seller was quit to work with me to replace those). But these fish specifically. The listing is for 12, my shipment had 14 (I'm assuming just to cover the loss if there's 1 or 2 DOA's). The box was plastered with temperature and care warnings to the delivery company to hand deliver, store at room temp, no mailbox delivery, etc. FedEx still simply left the box sitting on the front porch and failed to knock or ring the doorbell, and for some reason I didn't get a notification that they'd been delivered. Due to this, the little fellas spent over 2 hours outside in 37 degree temperatures. When I finally realized i rushed them inside and set the box in front of a space heater to gradually warm it. After about 15 minutes, I opened the cardboard box and found some incredible packing. Tons of loose packing material (almost looked like cellulose insulation) and 2 large bubble-mailer style bags, as well as a heat pack. The heat pack was obviously doing nothing at this point, so I was worried. But as I opened the bags, I was delighted to find 14 Galaxy Rasbora's, all alive and (mostly) well. They were understandably all incredibly lethargic, with one even floating on its side and entirely still. However, after transferring to a larger container and spending more time in front of a heater until the water temp reached 65 degrees or so, they started to perk back up. Not much, but showed signs of life. Once at 65, i began transferring them to smaller containers and floating in their respective tanks. Once up to 78 degrees, they all looked great. Alert, swimming above the bottom of the container, with their fins standing upright. After acclimating and putting them into their new tanks, they quickly schooled together and began to explore, and all look 100% healthy and ready to go. Sure, their colors are pretty dull at the moment, they're still incredibly stressed. But I guarantee over the next couple of days as they settle in, the colors will grow more vivid once again. And even being dull, I have to say they're still incredibly gorgeous. I've always been a fancy Guppy fan, but these little fella's are quickly becoming a second-place favorite to me, even despite their color only being about half as vivid as it has potential to be. TLDR: VERY IMPRESSED, DEFINITELY RECOMMEND. ... show more

  • All came alive and shipped quickly
The fish came quickly and they are all alive, even after I watched the delivery driver kinda shake it a bit. There was a small white sticker on the package saying fragile, so I would if it were me I would have put a larger yellow live fish sticker on it. But other than that there was some water in the package, not sure if the bags leaked a little or if the baggies weren't whiped off before shipped. But all fish are alive and well. ... show more

  • Alive and well! Alive and well!
What a Beauty! The package was insulated very well and kept the fish nice and warm as they traveled to Southern California. Ordered 12 Galaxy Rasboras and 5 White Cloud Mountain Minnow. All fishes arrived alive and well, and look incredibly healthy! This shop has become my GoTo shop for all live fish! ... show more

  • A little disappointed
I was really excited about these fish, all arrived alive. All of the fish died in groups of like 4 or 5 within days. I have a 36 gallon tank, heavily planted and completely cycled. I am not sure what the issue was, but I was disappointed. I drip acclimated them as well and I have purchased fish online and none have ever died in this fashion either. ... show more

  • 3 fish DOA and the rest in poor shape and dead within a few days
The only reason I'm opting for a two star review instead of one star is because the seller did provide a partial refund for 3 dead on arrival fish. Unfortunately the rest of the fish looked like they were in very poor shape and none survived longer than 3 days. The worst part is that after removing the dead fish I received some of my other fish began dying as well. Water quality parameters all look good which points to the disease load from these I purchased causing an outbreak. To avoid a major net loss of money and fish I highly recommend going with a reputable seller instead of risking it with this seller. ... show more
