The holes are perfect size for a Betta. The edges were sharp when it arrived, it took about 5 minutes to sand them down and now it’s perfect. Edward loves hiding in it and it looks nice in my 5 gallon tank.

The fish and shrimp love hiding in it. Only downside is algae particularly likes growing on the rough textured rock. It was covered after just a few days. Luckily I have several shrimp and snails who eat the algae but if you don't have shrimp and snails, be cautious. Snails particularly love eating the algae on it. I love seeing the trails the snails leave behind after grazing. They keep the growth on it manageable and actually quite natural looking.
