Cute, unique and durable. I love to use these for my young tarantulas, in smaller aqua-scapes and other arthropods, can’t beat this price and for great quality. They are thin but very durable, I haven’t had any safety issues with them.

These are small, was understood when ordered. These will make excellent accent pieces for my son's 5-gallon tank. Update: Added photo to show how the pieces were used in conjunction with Dragon Stone to add depth and the illusion of roots coming through the rocks. All-in-all very happy with my purchase, and my son was supper excited about how his tank looks.

I visited local pet stores and they sell 1pc of wood for nearly the price of this 8pc set... so I took a gamble and bought this. I figured I'll get more wood for the same price. I got 8 pieces of spider wood all within the listed size and in varying shapes. They were more light brown when dry so I was a bit surprised they actually turned dark reddish brown when boiled and wet. They all sank after boiling (4-5x to reduce tanins). I thought making a tree with a "cave" underneath would look cool with the pieces I had so I did that with a java moss canopy (used 5pcs of wood, 3 extra for future use). It dried while I was deciding and doing this so it floated when I added it to my tank. I had to hold it down with stone for a few days before it is fully water logged. It is quite durable and very light with varied shapes. Easy to work with. Great value for money. Happy with the purchase.

Wood came with live grubs inside it eating the center out! When the package arrived, it was wrapped in bubble wrap and taped up and I noticed an excessive amount of wood dust inside the package. Upon opening it I noticed holes throughout the wood. I washed it off hoping that whatever was eating it was long gone but after closer inspection I broke off a thin piece of the outer bark where the center was packed with that dust substance and found a very live white grub inside. I found 2. Both pieces in the package were being eaten away and had live insects inside.

Just as listed, received 8 pieces and they actually were decent quality I boiled them for several hours before adding them to my 5 and 20 gallons perfect for anchoring plants to I didn’t want all the tannins boiled out because they are beneficial for my betta so only did about 3 hours then soaked overnight to make them sink easily and only had small amounts of breakage from tiny roots
