This produces the strongest possible connection and ensures a low maintenance system.
  • LEADING ATTACHMENT METHOD: Features an innovative clamping system with a proven record of being the best industry method for connecting panels together and to PVC plumbing. Allows panels to be mounted closer together for a more efficient and more attractive system. Eliminates rubber hoses and metal clamps that require regular rooftop maintenance and replacement.

Top Amazon Reviews

  • Very high quality, straightforward installation. Hardly used much Jack Daniels.
Size: 2-4x6.5 (52 Square Feet)
I erased all previous review text to describe the finished project. This IS a project for a rookie IF you watch the video and follow the instructions. Not rocket surgery, just have the correct tools. The pool is inground ~50K gal and the cost of a large, professional pool solar heater totals about $35K – pull 75’ of 1.5” pipe (under walkways), connect to pump, replace broken fired clay roofing tiles, labor, etc. No way. Have an unused pergola perfectly sited at pool deep end so I DIY’d this kit instead. One goal is to use as much existing materials as possible. The pergola is 10’ high with LONG 2x12 joists, perfect for a flat roof. I nailed scrap OSB to joists with about 6 “ overhang to secure the panels and pipes. Panels set NMT 5* slope, head-to-toe to aid drainage; not sure it’s needed. Looks like hekk from underneath but a coat of paint will fix that. OSB then covered with tarpaper which registered 130*F, on a July midafternoon. Panels assembled EXACTLY as described in the docs/video, just took me FOREVER (I’m as senior as seniors get). I closed the panel clamps with Channel Locks initially but BIG Vise Grips to hold in place while securing clips. MUST use universal glue to connect black&white PVC. Plumbed with 1.5” PVC, dropped intake and return pipes down masonry support posts to pool concrete pad. Ran 2” soft PVC hose from these pipes to the pool deep end, about 12’. Inlet feed is from a separate 1hp submersible pump (no floats) which caused the outlet hose to spray all over. Fixed that problem with a 90* return hose PVC fitting, down a 6’ 1.5” drop pipe in the deep end with a u-turn up. The u-turn ensures the return STAYS DOWN. Secured a half-paver to the u-turn so the pipe drops correctly on startup. So, what’s the verdict? At 11AM, mid August South Jersey, 78*F, I get a 3*F rise. Perfect. The hoses are at the deep end where we RARELY go, it was inexpensive to install, the quality looks very acceptable, I can service/winterize myself, it is independent of the pool pump (which I also service) and I saved about $28K to start. I know the professional install would put out more heat and I now see adding two more panels will be easy. Maybe next year but I hope to get a bit more time out of the pool before closing. If we have anyone over, I shut the pump off, roll up the hoses and stash everything in the nearby bushes. The final touch will be correct fitting for pump-to-hose connections and installing 1.5” tee with ½" NPT fitting to install compressed air adapter; also add inline shutoff valve to isolate intake line. I have The Mother of All Air Compressors, so I’ll blow out the system to winterize. Works for my sprinklers so this is no big deal. Overall verdict is very pleased with this but disappointed that adapter to install supplied vacuum break is not supplied-seriously?? My install is unique, taking advantage of available materials and an unused pergola, easily maintained, hidden when not needed and many parts bought from Mr. Sanchez; includes WIFI timer/shutoff. But beware my bad experience noted below. Parts list: 1hp, cap start 1hp submersible pump - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C9QLRV7J Bad experience with 45* PVC fittings, supposed to be 1.5” but are 50mm, leak like hekk. Stay away from this vendor - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQG4KHTP Bag of 10 90* fittings - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D924DWM2 Universal PVC/CPVC glue – small can bought at LHS Soft PVC hose - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H92SB5N. A little too wide for 1.5” so need three hose clamps at each connection. Tools req’d - reciprocating saw, Channel Locks&BIG Vise Grips, hammer drill for pipe anchors and Jack Daniels (small bottle with nipple for the pause that refreshes). More pictures soon ... show more

  • Swimjoy industrial system-solid, quality do it yourself but not for beginners
Size: 4-4x12.5 (200 Square Feet)
The media could not be loaded. So far so good. 4, 4x12.5 panels Self install instructions are thorough and equipment is quality, not for a rookie do it yourselfer. I ordered all my valves separately. You will need extra hands installing this and the plumbing was the more challenging part. Already warmed 30k gallon pool up 5 degrees in 4 hours and very pleased with the results so far. ... show more

  • Great product, excellent supplier
Size: 6-4x10.5 (252 Square Feet)
Well made, high quality well packaged. Instructions and all the parts made it easy to install. The panel connector clamps require care when installing. I had 2 leaks and had to reclamp. My fault though so no complaints. 1 part was missing but an email to the supplier had that issue rectified immediately. I have not started using it yet, pool is being finished but I have every confidence it will heat the pool. After pressure testing it I dumped the water and it was as hot as bath water on a 60 deg day. All in all a great product and a customer focused supplier. Highly recommend. Update: Our pool is now complete and we started using the system. We regularly get the pool to 87 degrees and the hot tub to 102 degrees on solar only each day. We have a concrete inground pool in Utah at 5600 ft altitude. This solar panel system will pay for itself in the first year. We rarely use the gas heater now. ... show more

  • Assembly is difficult and the videos very misleading.
Size: 7-4x12.5 (350 Square Feet)
I am installing this alone and finding the install very nearly impossible. I have remodeled two homes, swapped car engines and built robots so I am a very capable do it yourselfer yet I am finding this impossible, I will likely return it. The videos make this look easy by cleverly not showing the difficult parts. First there is a note on all the boxes telling you to measure the panels before you unroll them, and threatening a restocking charge if they sent you the wrong items. They make no mention of how to measure them while still coiled. Getting these flattened is not easy, they have a lot of memory and try to recoil, you need to place one of the unopened crates on each end to keep them flat. I bought swim joy because I liked the way the panels joined together, in the video he makes it look easy, nothing could be farther from the truth. They have what they call an o-ring, it's not a normal round o-ring, it's very thin and has to fit deep inside two very narrow rings, alignment is very difficult, and it's hard to tell if it's right, then the fun starts, the clips barely fit without an o-ring and are very hard to assemble, compress and lock, I have yet to complete a single connection. Under the best of circumstances this would be difficult, but you have to fight the twelve foot long panel that snags on every shingle when you move up or sideways and slides down the roof with no provocation. The design is terrible and the video criminally misleading, even if the unit works great it will never earn more than one star. ... show more

  • Best panels anywhere.
Size: 4-4x10.5 (168 Square Feet)
The mounting and connecting system on the commercial line of their panels is by far the best ever. simple, easy, secure. And a HUGE nod to their customer service. I was missing some gaskets, and within two days I had them. and get this, an actual person answered the phone! I know, what a radical idea! I've used two other systems before, and one was so bad the tubes leaked upon the very first start-up. And I could never get any help with a replacement. Spend a few extra dollars and buy these. Your body will thank you for limiting your time on the roof. Especially when like here, it's 95 during the day. ... show more

  • Works as advertised
Size: 3-4x12.5 (150 Square Feet)
Very easy to install. It took a total of around four hours. My pool water started out at 66° and in full sun for 6 hours on a 68° day my water temperature made it to 78°. The next day was cloudy but still got the water to 82° and we went swimming on a 68° April day
