Assembly required, but not complex. I was surprised with the inexpensive cost, because the chair is a decent quality. My wife was screwing up her back because of sitting slouched on a couch all day and evening. This chair is a very good alternative. The positioning of her body while in the chair is easy on the back. She uses the massager on the automatic 15 minute setting twice a day. If anything the massage feature increases the circulation in her back. In the 9-12 hours a day she has sat in it over the past three weeks watching TV, I see no change in the padding nor fabric. ... show more

This chair is very comfortable and easy to assemble. It's easy to lay back in and it's hard to beat it for the price. That being said, there are some issues. My main one is the right arm rest came with what feels like a hole in the wood near the back, where you rest your elbow. Not a huge deal, but a little annoying. The massage feature is a little weak, but at this price it's what you would expect. I also wish there was a way to kick up the foot rest without having to also recline back. I absolutely love this chair! I’m 5 feet tall, and it fits me perfectly. Finding furniture that’s comfortable for my height can be a challenge, but this chair feels like it was made for me. Assembly was incredibly easy. It came in just two main pieces, and no tools were required. All I had to do was screw on the legs and slide the back of the chair into place—it took just a few minutes. The massage feature isn’t very strong, but I still consider it a nice bonus. The chair itself is comfortable, looks great, and is perfect for relaxing after a long day. Overall, I’m very pleased with my purchase and would definitely recommend it, especially if you’re looking for a comfortable recliner for a smaller space or if you’re on the shorter side ... show more

It was not that heavy and easy to assemble. Just put the feet on it, attach the back, plug in the controls and power, and then plug it in. After that, you can sit down and let the massage feature relax your back. It is a little small for a full-grown man, but perfect size for most women. These are nice chairs, but they seem to be built for those 5’3 to 5’7. Also the sheer lack of padding in the arm rests is sad. You can feel the wood. The overall size is perfect for an apartment but generally too short for anyone 5’8” and taller. Looking to find 4” feet to raise them up higher. I bought two to be accent chairs with a little "umph". We took one out and jt was easy to assemble and super nice for the price. Unfortunately, the second one had a hole in it but you could tell its from shipping vs how it was packaged. The good news was that the hole is in a spot you cant see when the chair is fully assembled. We put a patch on it and put it together and we love them.
