There are spaces in the top and bottom legs to attach it to a head board and/or a foot board. We had it together in less than ten minutes, with the bed made an everything when we were done. His mattress fits perfectly. And I have one of those guards to keep him from falling out and that fits perfectly as well. A wonderful buy. Got this bedframe cause my kiddo broke his wooden one. Downside is the pieces that hold the mattress up do not screw in. They are just sitting in the slots loose. I had gotten similar bedframes for my 2 young adult kids, but my mattress was still on the floor. I am getting older and my joints kinda hurt a little bit when I first get out of bed, so adding the extra 14 inches that this bed frame offers, really makes a big difference for me first thing in the morning. It was extremely easy to put together, there was slightly more than enough hardware, and it is VERY sturdy once assembled. I do have a tendency to move around a lot when I sleep, so I may get some rubber pads to keep the mattress from sliding side to side, but it's not enough to become an issue while I'm in bed. I also like the subtle black of the base, it kind of makes the mattress seem like it's floating. All in all, I can't see me needing another one for this full sized memory foam mattress, but if I did, I wouldn't hesitate to get another one from Sweetcrispy. ... show more
