  • I’m on the fence
Style: 1700-Watts
My Rowenta started losing water and not heating properly so I looked around for another. They no longer make the model of my old one so I ended up with this orange 1700 watt iron. So far it’s ok but doesn’t hold a candle to my old one. This one doesn’t get as hot, maybe because it’s 1700 watt. Because it’s not as hot, I find myself pressing down on the iron as I’m using it, so my arm will ache before I’m finished. This iron does seem to glide nicely over the clothing and the clothes do look pressed when done. My biggest complaints are all about water…such a little hole to pour water into, can not see the water in the tank so I overfill most of the time which makes a mess and lastly, I can only iron 2 short sleeve mens shirts before the water reservoir is empty. I spend more time filling the iron with water than I do ironing, that’s crazy. Whoever designed this iron definitely didn’t ask anyone who actually irons about how much water the reservoir should hold, the ease of putting water in the reservoir and most importantly, being able to SEE how much water is in the iron. As I said, it’s ok but that it. If you absolutely hate to iron, this one will make you dread it even more. I don’t mind ironing but this one wears me out. Not sure I will keep it. I don’t have to iron often, so my dread is short lived. I think I was unknowingly spoiled with my old Rowenta. ... show more

  • It’s decent.
Style: 1700-Watts
It’s hard for me to see the water level through the orange colored water window. Heats quickly.

  • Does the job
Style: 1700-Watts
I didn't want spend a lot for an iron after my Rowenta went to that great iron resting place in the sky. Since retiring I don't have a need to press shirts and pants like I used to. I was looking at a few different brands under $50 but when this one went on sale, I jumped on it. As noted by others yes you can hit the dial and change the setting slightly (easy awareness adjustment). Yes, it does spit a little when returned to its upright position from steam ironing. And yes, the water tank is absolutely a terrible design since you can hardly see how much water is in the tank. You can just barely make out the water shadow behind the colored plastic if you slosh it around. Other than that, it is a Rowenta. It does a great job of ironing and so far no drips or leaks. Very happy with it. ... show more

  • Great price and worth it!
Style: 1700-Watts
My old Steam iron broke after many years same brand so I decided to get same brand just better design and its really good steam function. Makes easy my mornings to iron my kids uniforms and mine work clothes. Just I wanted.

  • Love Rowenta
Style: 1700-Watts
Despite the reviews I purchased this iron. I have used nothing but Rowenta irons for many years. I have no issues other than not being able to see the water level. Not a big deal for me. I know when it is out of water. Read the instructions. If you are using burst of steam have the steam setting at zero. Great purchase for me at under $23.00. ... show more

  • Does a good job
Style: 1700-Watts
Very good iron. Love it. Hard to see the water level and I over flow every time I’m adding water. That’s the only thing I don’t like

  • Overall, VERY Good, but . . .
Style: 1700-Watts
THE GOOD: lightweight, heats fast, hundreds of steam vents. The pointed plate allows for getting into tight corners. It glides smoothly over fabric. It shuts off automatically, so there's no worry about "I wonder if I left the iron on." THE BAD: The amber plastic doesn't allow you to see the water level, so you can never be sure how much water is inside. There is a constant blinking light that makes you feel like the iron is still on. The automatic shut-off is NOT a plus for those of us who are used to manually turning the dial to "off." ... show more
