Never tried this kind of sponge before, and I love the results! First off it’s an authentic African net sponge, it has the little knots woven throughout just like the real ones do. It cleans better than the stupid loofahs I’ve always used, and it exfoliates but not too harshly. I love how long it is, makes it super easy to clean my back. I’ve thrown it in the wash a few times now and it’s holding up well!

So glad this product came as pictured and not as some piece of plastic. I love the African net sponge. It’s hands down one of by best purchases. I first bought one from an African market, and since I’ve been using it my eczema is practically a thing of my past. It’s great on my skin and not too abrasive. My only issue with the one I purchased here is some of the connections. A few extra large knots some frayed, oh and one large gap at the bottom. I’m hopeful that none of the aforementioned will affect it’s functionality, just wanted to point it out (reason why it gets 4/5)

The way the product is woven is very close to an authentic African net sponge. However, the dye has been coming off and getting all over my shower. Thankfully, it's not too hard to scrub off, but I would be careful if you intend to travel with it, or have it around absorbent things like fabrics or grout! (I ordered the blue color, not sure about the dye bleeding in other colors.)

love this. lathers good, exfoliating but not in a bad or rough way (you could probably use every day with no skin irritation). i havent washed it yet but it seems like it would hold up well. also a perfect size.
