    • It makes ice. That's about it.
This ice maker is very reasonably priced, and it does make a lot of ice pretty quickly. The only complaints I have are that the ice will start melting the moment they are made. There is no refrigeration at all in the compartment that holds the ice after it is made. So, by the time the container is full, the ice at the bottom is smaller because it has already started to melt. After the container is full, it shuts off, so you need to remember to dump the ice in another container and put it in the freezer, or it will melt. The ice comes out very wet too, so when you freeze it, all the ice will stick together, and you need to break it apart with something. I found that a butter knife works pretty well. The ice is hollow, so even though the large-sized ice looks to be a workable size, it melts fast when actually used because it's mostly air. You can set it for two sizes. Don't waste your time with the small size. Finally, I found it to be a bit noisy. It sounds like a small air conditioner that is running on low. It took a while for my wife to get used to the noise. All of that said, this does make ice, and it is affordable. So, for the money, I think this is a good choice. It's not the same as having an ice maker in the refrigerator. By the way, the photos are very deceiving. What you see is not exactly what you get. Still, I give it 4 stars. ... show more

I used it once and never again. It works but takes too long, not what I was expecting. It melts as soon as it’s released so unless you want to sit there for a hour to get a glass full it’s not really worth it in my opinion.
