After Several Uses, I rate the GUTR Sweatband a WINNER!

I read a lot of reviews before I purchased my GUTR, and I'm glad I bought it. I had a lot of trouble with sweat dripping inside my sunglasses on my cycling rides, especially since I love to ride in very hot weather. While you're still going to sweat - even underneath the band - it cut down my problems immensely. I'm reviewing this after using it on six very hot rides. I'd like to add a few notes: 1. Make sure it is secured snugly, but not too tight. I had a splitting headache and I stopped, loosened the band a bit, and the headache went away. 2. Make sure that the Velcro is secured. I didn't secure it much and the band almost fell off. That's my fault, and I won't make that mistake again. 3. I've been reading reviews from people who said the band had a bad odor - it doesn't at all - make sure you rinse it in water after each use. I think the people who made that comment need to examine their own foul hygiene practices.

Sweat in Your Eyes? Not Anymore!

What can I say...this product shocked me! I purchased it because of the price thinking "What the heck. I'll give it a try." and I have been nothing but overwhelmed with the effectiveness of the GUTR. It does exactly what it is supposed to and keeps the sweat out of my eyes perfectly. I am a 49 year old chubby dude getting in shape for a 1/2 Marathon and I sweat like a demon. Years ago when I ran more and was much lighter I would wear regular sweatbands, but they would always become soaked through and eventually would be useless for keeping sweat from my eyes. The GUTR has been nothing short of amazing. That's all I can truly say...amazing! I've used it for approximately half a dozen runs, ranging from 3 miles, up to 7 and not once have I had to wipe sweat from my eyes. For me it runs behind my ears and down the back of my neck, while odd feeling at first I quickly adapted and now think nothing of it. Great product if you're a sweater...like me!

The best I have found for keeping sweat out of my eyes while cycling

I have tried several other methods of trying to keep the sweat out of my eyes while road cycling; this one is the best. All the others saturate and eventually drip onto my glasses or into my eyes. I ride a lot, live in the SE US where it is hot and humid so it some time seems like it's raining off of me. You will need to adjust the tightness and placement on your head to avoid a headache or lack of a seal against your skin. There are three bands to choose from and adjustment with Velcro loops that make enough room for even my XL head. I have found that if it gets uncomfortable I can move it up or down on my forehead while moving and find a comfortable position. It channels the sweat to the side of your face very well and my glasses stay generally dry now. It should work in any activity where you keep your head up so that gravity can do it's work.

Bait & Switch UPDATE

DO NOT BUY IF YOU ARE EXPECTING IT TO MATCH THE PHOTO!!! I have been using the Gutr for years and swear by it for what it is intended to do. HOWEVER, this new version cannot be adjusted for small heads which makes it worthless. I knew they were discontinuing the older version with the rings so tried to get a backup. I took 2 weeks to get here and they sent me the new version!! It will not adjust small enough for my head so won't stay up. I paid $18 for a worthless piece of plastic. These are lifesavers if you sweat a lot playing tennis/golf and now apparently you must have a standard size head. Now I will have to try to find something else. BRING BACK THE VERSION WITH THE RINGS!! UPDATE: Great Customer Service!! The Company contacted me and found one of the older version with the velcro/ring closure and sent it to me so I am changing my review from a 1 star to a 4 star. I would have changed to a 5 star but they are still showing this older version in the photo and description. The new version does not fit small heads so be mindful about that. That being said, if you sweat a lot above your forehead there is nothing that works better than the GUTR at keeping the sweat out of your eyes!! I wear one to play tennis and golf in the Florida heat/humidity and have recommended to a lot of my friends who now swear by it also. I can't play without one! If you don't have a small head, buy this! You won't regret it!!

Works great for me!

There is mixed reviews on here...Im glad i gave this product a shot though. Im the type of person that starts sweating even thinking about heat or exercise. Im talking fountains of sweat, steady streams. When I was a few miles into my bike rides there was literally a drop of sweat flying off my nose at least every two seconds. To top it off, my tight fitting oakleys would get sweat all up the inside of them messing with my clarity of vision. Took some playing around with the sizing of these but I found my sweet spot and I can wear this for hours. I know this product is working for me, because when I'm riding I can feel the sweat flowing down my cheeks on either side, safely out of my eyebrows, sunglasses, and eyes path.Does some sweat get by? Yes. Does it sometimes get uncomfortable? Yes. However my cycling experience is immeasurably better with it than it is without it. I kow this product is working for me, because when I'm riding I can feel the sweat flowing down my cheeks on either side, safely out of my eyebrows, sunglasses, and eyes path.

This version is NOT as good as the previous one

This version is NOT as good as the previous one. The Velcro on the previous version stuck better and was less likely to be pulled apart. This newer version, I need to be careful. One would think that paying $17.00 for a piece of stretch plastic you would receive something great. Not so any more. The above being said..., they do work as designed. I will not run without wearing one. My skin seems to exude acidic sweat and it burns my eyes. The Sweat GUTR really does help prevent the burning. I would recommend this product to anyone that sweats while running. I say "running" because I liked it enough that I tried it while biking. Well..., duh... Your head was down not straight, stupid... Live and learn. Good luck.
