Long time costa user - love their lenses, but normally have trouble finding a frame/style that i like (more of a wire-frame type of person). I have been using the now discontinued Palapa glasses from Costa for 2 years and they have been great (480 green mirror). Comparing these new Turrets to them is night and day. The first thing you notice is how lightweight the Turrets are... not on the level of Maui Sports, but very very light and they feel very sturdy and premium. For me personally, they also fit my head much better, and the bridge is much more snug - but not tight. I wish the lens size came in an option that was a little smaller, but these fit me pretty nicely and the clarity is just unreal. Costa lenses are simply awesome. ... show more

Update 11/29/21 – after using these for about 6 months, I like them so much I ordered another pair just to put in a drawer to keep as a spare in case I ever lose or destroy the first. Original review: I've had a pair of Costa Ballast (grey lenses) for about a year, and although I really like them (very comfortable), when I wanted to pick up a second pair of good sunglasses (so I could leave them in the car all the time), I wanted something not quite so delicate, and the Turret looked to be exactly what I wanted (thin metal frame, and somewhat of a "wraparound" like the Ballast has). I like sunglasses to either be frameless or have a very thin frame, as some thick plastic frames obscure my vision when I turn to look when changing lanes. The Costa website said that the copper lenses were best for driving, and although I generally have always avoided color-tinted sunglasses, I decided to give them a shot. The seller, Great Lakes Outpost, shipped the sunglasses promptly, and I was happy that they arrived in time for a 3 hour trip for work that weekend. Though the copper lenses do warm up the view, I quickly became accustomed to it. During that drive I switched back and forth between these and the gray Ballast a few times, and found that indeed, the copper really improved the contrast and definition. One very minor issue is that the plastic of the temple tips are just a little sharp, and scrapes a bit when putting them on. But zero complaints about comfort, I wore them for hours with no discomfort to the ears or nose, as they are very light. ... show more

Costa sunglasses are great!! I have purchased many different kinds. However this pair is a good pair of glasses as far as the blockage of the sun! But they are not as durable as others. They don’t keep there shape very well they seem to bend very easily. So if you are rough with your sunglssses you may want to find a different pair. ... show more

I own a pair of Costa Fantail sunglasses so I knew the lens clarity would be great but I didn't realize these Turret sunglasses would be as light and comfortable as they are! I've owned Ray Ban in similar style but they were glass add a lot heavier. Love these Costas!

They look good, feel good, but it has a cheap feeling. And it says made in China, I am not sure if that means is a counterfeit I can't tell because this one's are my first Costas.
