I’m got two boys who both enjoy playing the PS5. This summer my youngest went to visit family for a month and I decided to purchase the PS portal and send it with him. Here are some things to understand. 1. This must be connected to a PS5. If you have two PS5’s like I do, you can switch between the two. 2. If you play the portal without a PS premium membership, it will turn on the connected PS5 and the two will mirror each other. 3. If you choose to get the PS premium membership, it is an added expense of $160ish annually. 4. Your internet connect needs to be good in order for this system to work well. If the internet is not meant for streaming, this won’t work well. Those are the most important things I wish I would’ve known prior to purchase. Knowing those things, I would have still purchased. The portability is nice, and the battery is decent for a gaming system. The build quality seems solid and it’s very easy to adjust playing the portal vs the PS5. Since our two PS5’s are in different rooms, my youngest will usually opt to play the portal so he can sit next to his brother and play together. If you are an avid gamer, this portal will get used regularly.

Works well, requires internet connection. Screen is large, controller is comfortable in your hand identically to ps5 remote.

The Portal is great when I'm playing with my kids. I've got two PS5's in one room, with another one in my daughter's room. Using the Portal, I'll sign into the PS5 in the other room (which isn't being used otherwise) and play games with my kids together. This saves me from having to buy another PS5 and figure out where to put another monitor so we can all play together.
