    • Nice, simple system!!
I wanted a very simple dvr system for the house and this is working really well so far! The cameras aren’t crystal clear, but for the price I’m still pleasantly surprised. Took me a few hours to run wires to get everything set up. If you’re relatively handy, setting the system up is actually a fun little project! My biggest complaint is that the power supply for the cameras can only power two cameras. I ordered a third camera for the system, and it came with its own power supply. I ended up buying a 4-way splitter to power the 3 cameras... I was definitely running out of room on my power strip. You’ll also have to buy a monitor to display/playback. I additionally purchased some junction/mounting boxes for the cameras. I’d recommend that if the plugs will be out in the elements. I currently don’t have the system set up to my internet or have access to live feeds on my phone through the app, so I can’t speak for how well that function works. All in all, for the price, I was really surprised how easily everything was set up and with how well it’s worked over the past month or so that it’s been set up. If I have any issues I’ll update the review, but for now I’m extremely happy with it! ... show more

I purchased this, as I am having an inground pool installed and wanted protection from the workers as well as anyone in the future, climbing the fence and swimming. First, it does not have WIFI compatibility, so I purchased the wifi usb antenna. Everything hooked up just fine and set-up was not too difficult. Now, one of my cameras sends me alarms incessantly as the sun causes shadows over the concrete. I have tried everything to make this stop, but it does not. Additionally, wifi keeps going offline...at least that is what the app on my phone says. But when I check the dvr, it shows "connected". I am making a trip to my garage daily to reconnect so it shows me being online on the app. The company states it is a weak signal, however, they are full of it. I have checked the signal with my phone in the exact location where the dvr is, and the signal indicates two out of three bars. Also, keep in mind that the dvr gets extremely warm. I purchased a flat desk fan to set under the dvr and keep it cool. I would never suggest this system to anyone. It is cheap and worthless, with nothing from the company to fix it. ... show more

Had this installed on my home. Easy to use and live view is good. But while watching recordings or notifications, the cameras glitch with each other pretty bad. Kinda irritating.

Work perfectly I just hook it up and done I love it!!! We had an old Swann camera system and the box stopped working all I had to do was hook the cameras we already had to the box and bam video was back I hook one of my new cameras up to. Replace a broken camera I had and was so easy no a problem one ... show more

    • Cheep Chinese made product with faulty DVR
Purchased this camera security system for my office. Product worked for 26 hours and then the mouse would not work and prevented log in access. Thus, system is useless. Looked up similar issue on line via google search "swann security system mouse not working" and was surprised to find many others with similar issue. Tried calling Swann USA and was put on hold and eventually disconnected by Swann with no help. ... show more
