I bought this for myself (140lb woman) so I could travel about 4 miles a day on crappy asphalt in the middle of nowhere for a work trip. It worked great, 10/10. It takes ~4 hours to charge fully. It got rained on multiple times. It hit a lot of potholes and went through sand. It folds perfectly. I carried a couple pounds worth of work/beach gear and it still went 15mph. Only downsides: If you hit strong wind you’ll go pretty slow. It really does only last for about 5 miles max range. The handles you screw on are a little wobbly and come undone easily. Other than that, this scooter does exactly what it said it would. I was pleasantly surprised. As long as you don’t intentionally treat it like garbage then it should last awhile.

Purchased on Dec 18 as a 2020 Christmas gift for my 9-year old son. He was excited and tested after assembled. Then snow came, the unit was in placed my storage until late March. They he took a ride (the 2nd ride), the hand brake (fixed with a single screw) was broken (see the two pictures), the flimsy screw hole cracked in half, so the handbrake wouldn't stay. When it happened, my son was falling off the unit and got a scratch on his leg, bleeding (so, UNSAFE!). Note, given their 90-day warrantee (which is a BS), in March 2020, after the unit slept during the winter months, we are out of warrantee period. I didn't worry too much, as I saw it was just a screw issue on the small plastic piece, so I contacted Amazon for technical help, asking if where to get a replacement parts (willing to purchase), and was kindly directed to email the manufacturer for parts replacement. Be fair, at the first time they emailed me back politely saying the parts are out of stock and would inform me when it is restocked. Then I waited, weeks passed, no response. Followed up with emails, and I got feedback saying my unit warrantee has been expired, so, no free parts will be supplied. I needed to ship the unit back for service, and estimated costs would be $60-90 plus shipping ($30). After a few email exchanges (each returning email took weeks to receive), I got no solution. A small plastic ring would cost me over $100 for to repair? and by that time a few months passed already. So, I called Amazon again for solution. Thanks to Amazon, they said because it had been long passed the free return period, they could refund it, but they succeeded to push for a replacement, and I got a new one, excited! Well, the new unit arrived pretty quickly (Amazon's credit!), but unfortunately after assembled, the unit had a malfunctional handbrake - we tested at home before letting the unit go out, and the handbrake was completely not responding (video) - proven to be POOR QUALITY. Then, I concluded that this purchase really shouldn't have been made. I contacted Amazon customer support. After a long conversation, they agreed to take it back with a partial refund (prorated but not sure what is the basis) - not be best but better than a total loss! Overall, we had the unit for about 6 months, had about 3 rides, and most of the time was debating with the manufacturer customer service or communicate with Amazon customer support for solutions - not the best experience. Factors like Unsafe, Poor Quality, and very bad manufacturer tech support should be enough for one to consider if you want to buy this thing.

My 7 year old son has been using his Swagtron Swagger scooter for 21 days and clocked about 42 miles so far. He's averaging around 8+ miles per charge going mostly full throttle which is 14 -15 mph. For $178 I'm quite pleased with it. It appears and feels sturdy and quality made. It's whisper quiet and easy to control. My one ane only complaint was one of the handle bar grips did not line up properly upon assembly. I just kept turning the handle until the rubber grip started to rotate to the proper position on the handle shaft. It took a little elbow grease, but not a huge issue. With all the features that you get for the price and my experience with it so far I would recommend it.

I though this was a great purchase for the money spent. I have bought scooters in the past for my older son, and this one is definitely a much more sturdy scooter. It actually goes pretty fast, and the controls are easy to use. The only complaint I have is the kickstand is not very durable.

We’ve only had this for a week, but it was a hit at Christmas and has been used a lot! Overall, it’s very good. I like that you can limit the speed, so right now my daughter can’t go too fast - she’ll learn how to adjust it herself eventually. The charge is kept pretty long- a few hours- and she plugs it back in as soon as she rides it. You can see the battery bars to know how much of a charge is remaining. My only issue is the weight of it but it may not be any heavier than other ones we had considered. Riding it manually if the battery dies isn’t easy since it’s pretty heavy. Overall, a good buy and lots of fun.

I got the scooter for my 9 year old son and he really loved it. We didn't get to use it much due to the winter months, but when we had a few good days we took it out and it was smooth, fast, and a joy to ride. It was so great that our neighbor bought one too. The neighbor's scooter died after about 2-3 weeks of very light use. Then ours died too. It went from being perfect to not turning on at all without any warning. Now reading the reviews it seems like many people have this issue, so it must be a manufacturing defect. It seems to be happening to all of them. I got the return authorization, but now I'm wondering if I even want to try another one. You do have to pay for shipping both ways when sending the scooter back and getting another. Too bad because I thought this little scooter was great when it was working. I would have easily rated it 5 stars in all categories. : ( UPDATE: We sent the first one back and they replaced with a brand new one. Unfortunatley 15 minutes into the first ride it lost power and now suffers the same problems the first one did. It will not charge or turn on at all. So we are sending back and trying to get a refund. : ( Again, we love this little scooter and if it worked I'd gladly give it 5 stars. It's obvious now that there is something fundamentally wrong with this model and they need to either pull it from the line or fix whatever is going on.

Got this for our 10 year old for Christmas. On about the second day, the screen went blank and wouldn't start. I started the return process but my older son figured out to hit the power button repeatedly and it would work. Fast forward to April, the charger died. Nearly impossible to find a replacement online but our old Dyson charger seems to work, so that'll do for now. Charging port also comes out now when we pull out the plug. Overall, the kids love it but I'm just waiting for the next "thing" to go wrong.
