I have a few barlow's that came with telescopes which are cheap to usable. I also have bought a few barlow's and this one beats all others I had. Fit & finish, a little heavier, because its just better - so wish I had started with this one to begin with. With this one, the others will get thrown where they wont get used period. I'll soon ponder the idea of adding a 3x. So far SVBONY has been a bargain. I have the SVBONY SV503 80ED telescope and its really a nice scope for the price, and have bought several SVBONY products, especially eyepiece's, (red) diagonal's, finder's.....

Good quality at a good price

I'll admit I think a barlow is a bad idea in general because you are just adding more optics to reduce image quality. This one is decent for the price, but as another buyer commented it's only effective for larger lenses like a 32mm or 25mm (or maybe a 6"+ scope). My 6mm lens was a better image than the 2x barlow with a 9mm (=4.5mm lens). Always keep in mind a telescopes max power - the 2x barlow and a 6mm lens (=3mm lens) on my f/6.7 90mm x 600mm scope = 200 magnification (max realistic limit on this scope) . The 6mm is 100 magnification but a clearer image than the 2x barlow + 6mm. Having more lens sizes are better than adding a barlow IMO. I may return this and look for a good 4mm to max my scope at 125 power.

I had to update my review because I’m a little surprise how this barlow was better than the replacement I bought. You won’t believed that I compared it with another barlow that was made in Japan.

This appears to be a quality, well made Barlow at a reasonable price. The only drawbacks are it is a bit heavy and that it does not come apart so you can not make it into a 1.5X barlow I have several SVBONY red line eyepieces and have been impressed with the SVBONY attention to detail on their better quality optics.

Works fine, but I learnt that when using a barlow the eyepiece AFOV is reduct... I'm new in astronomy... so, if you want to see bigger and closer, you must to buy another eyepiece with more magnification, minus mm, and use the barlows only with bigger eyepiece (26mm and 32mm for example).

I tried this 2x Barlow lens with a number of my eyepieces and on two different telescopes - a refractor and a reflector. The lens worked great on both telescopes and gave sharp images up to ~200x magnification.

This is a very good Barlow for the price. Fully coated FMC all glass achromatic . All barlows reduce light by 1/4 , but a good one would still manage to be brighter, wish this one was a little brighter.
