Description

Those tarps are made of woven and coated polyethylene that is tear and UV resistant. They will not rot nor shrink. Regular specification, all purpose (10-mil) tarpaulins present a stronger more durable tarp that will provide the user with longevity for all covering or protective needs. Mil is the thickness of the material, one mil=0.0254mm. Reinforced, Reversible. All edges are heat- sealed and reinforced with polyethylene rope. Our tarps are made from a tight polyethylene weave which provides super durability. All full sizes, no "cut sizes". Tarps can be used as protection for boats, cars or motor vehicles. Camping tarpaulin provides shelter for these elements, ie., wind, rain or sunlight for campers, such as an emergency roof patch material for homeowners; as a temporary pickup truck bed cover, and for a ground or drop sheet. Warning: Flammable. This product will ignite and burn if brought into contact with an open flame.

I don't like writing bad reviews about products, but if this saves one person from buying these tarps, having to repack and send them back, it's served it's purpose. I purchased 2 of these to use on a 35 foot stretch. When the package arrived, I inspected it for any damage, but it looked pristine. No holes, tears or breaks in the plastic surrounding the tarps. Laying them out on the grass, they looked okay. I looked at the grommets and thought they looked a little flimsy, but I had a tarp similar to this that lasted me 4 years, so I thought they might still be fine. I next noticed that the grommet spacing was anything but even, but again for my application it was not going to matter so I gave them a pass on that too. Got the first tarp up over my frame no problem. As I was lifting the second one up, there was finally enough contrast for me to see a hole about the size of a dollar coin. It looked to be melted as if it had gotten just a little to close to something hot. Being as far along as I was, I decided to give this a pass, and duct taped it. Tightening down the tarps, yet not exerting a lot of pressure, I noticed the grommets were easily pulling away. I stopped and honestly contemplated sending them back at this point, but again gave them a pass. I carefully got it into place and lashed everything down. That night we had a downpour, but very little wind. I came out the next day and a couple of puddles of water had formed. To my surprise the tarp was actually leaking. That was the last straw, even though it was a royal pain to take them down and replace them, I was not going to put up with a tarp that couldn't even survive it's first night. I discovered why. Looking up at the tarps in the bright daylight I noticed they were heat seamed about every 4 feet running the width. All the leaks developed from those seams. These tarps are defective and seriously won't serve any purpose, especially if you are actually contemplating keeping something dry. The photos I am including in this look like the same place from different angles. Actually these are all separate areas of the two tarps. No pressure was put on the tarps and they were not stretched in that direction, just laid over a high frame. This is a cheap tarp. I bought it to replace a canopy tarp that had worn out after two years of heavy use. I hoped that I was getting a great deal but I got exactly what I paid for, a cheap tarp. It came with one of the corners missing the reinforcement ring. I have had it up for about a week now and another of the reinforced rings is not standing up to the light winds we have had. My old tarp fit the framing snugly, this one flops around even though it is the same size. I will not be buying this tarp again for a canopy. As far as these type of tarps go its pretty good. It seemed a little stronger then the type I have purchased at Harbor Freight and other sores in the past. The corners have nice heavy plastic reinforcements. Just to make it clear, I would not expect it to hold up in extensive winds over a long period of time but what do you want for the price. Its not a custom made canvas cover for $20.00. I subtracted 0.1 star because it is not actually 10ft wide, mine was an inch narrow, no big deal but I am using it to cover a floor for painting and it came up short. We needed the tarp to block the cool wind (we live in South Texas). We secured it to the top, bottom, and sides of the carport and within minutes the tarp was tearing away from the rivets. It lasted about 24 hours. Not worth the money if you are using it to block wind and protect your belongings...it will shred and fall apart. ... show more

First it did not measure a full 12x16 it was short 3-4 inches each direction. The grommets were not 12” apart like stated in comments they were at least 20-24. Key word “were” we had to use it had no choice had to cover an area for cows to calve. Wind took it off. Some grommets were at the edge, so not as strong. A waste of time and money. ... show more

I bought 4 tarps, including two this vendor because my other seller only had two for quick delivery and storms were approaching.. Am using them to create a waterproof wall around the front porch of my houseboat to keep the rain out. Installation includes hanging them via the grommets from hanger screws on a wooden rail that surrounds the top of the room. What I found that the grommets was much further apart than on the ones I purchased elsewhere, and worse, were inconsistent in their spacing on a single tarp, and even worse still, different from one tarp to another. This has made my installation more complicated and time consuming, and therefore more costly, as I have to calculate spacing and install more grommets myself. This distributor must buy these in lots from different manufacturers without paying attention to the inconsistencies. Features on the tarps from the other vendor (Tarps Direct) were consistent and the spacing closer to what I needed. Delivery time was excellent, and the tarps themselves of good quality, so if you don't care about the grommets they are fine, but not matching was a problem for me. ... show more

Cheap crap, will not take any stress eg a bungee cord. Light wind ripped the aluminum rigs right straight out! Didn't last a week! So sick of this crap ... supposedly 10mil. Just about worthless, I may try to reinforce the perimeters and put in new ring-hole. Like I've nothing else to do. Just can't find tarps in WHITE that are worth a crap.... There were not enough grommet holes. We had it secured with bungee balls and stretched taught. But the first gusty day it was off my patio frame. Kind of disappointed.
