I have included images from the Oct 2023 solar eclipse as seen in 80% annularity. Two are inside my telescope and another is utilizing the filter as a “sun shade” to view the sun in the sky as is, without a telescope. Worked beautifully. The only cons to this filter, which I believe is just part of purchasing a solar filter, is it is very thin film (unlike glass options), seemed to easily get a smudge, and did not come with a case to protect it (I opted to keep the original box.) was very sturdy on my telescope and I did not feel the need to utilize the Velcro straps - which don’t hurt as added protection as you don’t want it to come off and blind you or damage your scope. ... show more

Obviously hoping for Sun good weather eclipse day , but opened my eyes to a whole new world of astronomy being able to observe the sun safely. I have no photography experience but sunspots were clearly visible while viewing. Packaging was robust.

Nice filter, to bad I had to order it from the USA (was waiting for months in Europe). Kind of expensive with shipment, but I found the image quality better then my previous own cut baader foil. Perhaps baader would be better if you use additional filtering. This Celestron filter is very good for viewing and imaging and has a nice fit on my Celestron CPC800 ... show more
