Features

  • This Celestron T-Ring attaches to Canon EOS DSLR and SLR camera bodies
  • Sturdy bayonet flange locks in place just like a lens, providing secure contact

  • This T-Ring fits EOS model cameras only and will not work with other Canon camera bodies.

Description

A T-Ring is one of the first accessories you will need if you want to take pictures through a telescope or spotting scope. If you have a Canon EOS camera body, the Celestron EOS T-Ring is the one for you. To use the Canon EOS T-Ring, remove the lens from your camera, and attach the T-Ring in its place, just as you would if you were mounting a lens. The telescope side of the T-Ring has threads that will accept a variety of camera adapters, including the Celestron T-Adapter or Tele-Extender. The adapter you choose depends on the type of photography you wish to do. You can take pictures of terrestrial and/or celestial scenes by using a simple T-Adapter to turn your telescope or spotting scope into a large telephoto lens. The 93633-A T-Adapter is the best choice if you own a Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope with standard rear cell threads. If you have a refractor, the Universal T-Adapter (93625), with its 1-1/4” barrel insert, is available. There are also special T-Adapters for the EdgeHD optical system: one for the 8-inch EdgeHD (93644) and one for the 9.25, 11, and 14-inch EdgeHD (93646). Prime focus photography is popular for short exposure images of terrestrial objects as well as celestial objects like the Moon. If you need extra magnification beyond that which your Schmidt- Cassegrain telescope provides, a Tele-Extender (93643) will allow you to insert an eyepiece inside the barrel before attaching it to the telescope. A Tele-Extender is used most often for high power images of the Moon and the planets.

  • Works well to connect Nikon F-mount camera to telescopes (but there's a caution!)
Size: Nikon T-Ring
This T-ring helps connect a Nikon F-mount camera body to a telescope. You usually need another part as well which depends on the telescope: a threaded T-adapter (e.g. https://www.amazon.com/Celestron-T-Adapter-9-25-Black-93633/dp/B00009X3V8/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=t-adapter&qid=1579581211&s=electronics&sr=1-8) or a 2" focal T-adapter (e.g. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LY1NGDO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) or a 1.25" focal T-adapter. The camera is connected like this: telescope <- T-adapter <- T-ring <- camera. The T-adapter either threads onto or slides into the telescope, the T-ring threads onto the T-adapter, and then the T-ring is attached to the Nikon camera body. The T-ring connects to the camera body exactly the same way as a standard F-mount lens. Caution: This T-ring has confusing markings which can lead to a risky connection. There is usually a dot on lenses that the user aligns with a dot on the camera body before rotating the lens to secure it to the body. This T-ring has 3 dots on it, and only one of them is the correct one. The correct one has an additional small white dot next to it. Trying to use any of the other dots for alignment can result in an insecure fit (which could result in the camera detaching unexpectedly from the T-ring). Using the right dot led to the T-ring clicking into place for a secure fit on Nikon D90 and D5300 bodies. ... show more

  • Works perfectly and is sized perfectly for Nikon DSLRs (D80)
Size: Nikon T-Ring
This item works great and better than expected based on the reviews. It snaps directly into my Nikon D80 with ease, and "feels" exactly the same as snapping in my fancy / expensive lenses. It did not require any extra pressure to snap in, and in no way did I feel like it didn't fit perfectly (some of the other reviewers seemed to have some issues with the fit). It even locks into place exactly like my normal lenses (to release you press the little lens release button on the camera body, just like a normal lense). I have an 8" Celestron telescope, and all I needed to do to take pictures was get this item (t-ring), plus the t-ring adapter (sold on Amazon as the Celestron 93625 Universal 1.25-inch Camera T-Adapter) than screws into this item, and the other end goes in the telescope (instead the usual eyepiece). So just get the T-adapter and T-ring and you'll be in business! In summary, this items is made well and fits perfectly ... exactly as it should. Highly recommended! ... show more

  • Great T-Ring for Nikon
Size: Nikon T-Ring
The T-Ring works great on both our D200 and D810 Nikon bodies. I just wish I had a better telescope to use as the camera's lens attached via the adapter. Attached is one of the better images captured using the adapter on a B&H 60mm Celestron Explorascope. Also, I recommend using Photoshop's exposure curve adjustments to tone down the highly reflective portions of the moon. ... show more

  • So much fun!
Size: Canon EOS T-Ring
Man! I wish I had discovered this sooner! There was a super moon not too long ago and my wife and I were out there trying to take pictures with our phones, pos cams, and a Canon T6i. They all came out pretty terrible. Surprisingly, the POS took the best pic, but that's another story. I purchased this ring to attach my 100mm Celestron spotting scope to my wife's T6i. I was so amazed at how clear the craters of the moon were. I actually only had it at about 1/2 power, because at full zoom, the moon was too big to fit in frame. So easy to install also. ... show more

  • Absolutely what I needed!
Size: Canon EOS T-Ring
I had to be fairly certain before I ordered this that it was what was needed. 0 problems. But really, how could I go wrong? It's a Celestion product and I have no confusion about my cameras. Completely satisfied, it is a quality piece and does what I need it to do. I may buy another for a second camera so I don't have to fumble around in the dark to switch out a camera. ... show more

  • Wrong Celestron 93419 T-ring for Canon EOS
Size: Canon EOS T-Ring
I am another one of the customers who got the wrong Celestron 93419 T-ring. If it is advertised as a T- ring, with no other explanation, it should be a standard T-ring 42 mm thread. The one I got measures 47 mm thread, totally wrong. Other reviewers note that someone is packaging the wrong parts for Celestron and those parts should be recalled and corrected. Evidently it has not happened and I am the victim of a continued mistake. Correction ! My mistake. T-ring has 2 threads. The second inner one is the correct 42mm thread and fits the standard T adapter perfectly. And the EOS side fits perfectly in the Canon camera. Therefore, I must apologize for my initial mistake and upgrade the rating to 5 sstars. ... show more

  • i can only say -- it is the best
Size: Canon EOS T-Ring
before buying this ring i was afraid that it will not be made from good materials specially after reading some reviews saying that it dont have the ability to lock on the body of the camera ... what i received whas really a great product and together with the Celestron t-adaptor that i ordered it is doing the job in perfect way...the ring is locking well in the body but you have first to insert it in the right way like the EF lens there is a small hole in the side of the ring that it should face the red dot in the body of canon camera then whenyou turn the ring clockwise it will lock witout any problem.. my camera is Canon600D my telescope is Celestron skyprodigy 130 . The only problem is that i am not able to focus the image even after removing the ring and the t-adapter nd the eye piece holder from the telescope focuser the focal point in my telescope is still far away from the sensor of my Canon .. i knew from the begining that it will happen and that can be resolved by placing a Barlow lens between the telescope and my camera but as i am still waiting my barlow lens to be released from the customs i cannot give you a full rview but if your telescope is montinned to be an astrophotography scope this is the best and chippest t-ring to get from the market dont hesitate ... show more

  • Works with skywatcher telescope
Size: Nikon T-Ring
Works with Skywatcher evostar 80ed telescope and nikon d5100 dslr. Bought it for $5 from Amazon used. If the inner ring become loose just tighten it as shown in the picture. As long as you match the two white dots, attaching and detaching will be very easy.
