  • Easy to use.
My husband purchased it for me to be able to get the kayak down to the water by myself. It does that. Had difficulty keeping the straps on it until I watched a YouTube showing to kick the stand up. Has worked great since.

  • Suspenz HD Airless Cart not a good fit for the Old Town Sportsman 120
The Suspenz HD Airless Cart is well made, easy to assemble and light. It rolls easily over the pave boat ramp to the water even though the cart is loaded down with a Old Town Sportsman 120. The kayak is new and I have yet to fully rig the kayak, I'm putting that off until I figure out what accessories will best suit the way I fish. So the kayak may weigh in around 120 lbs. I have only used this cart once, on smooth pavement so I cannot say how the 10 inch wheels will do on rough ground. The straps with the quick release buckles are easy to use and are very capable of securing your kayak to the cart. I gave this kayak cart 5 stars even though the cart is not a good fit for my Old Town Sportsman 120. Because of the DoubleU hull design that keeps the kayak stable when standing on the deck of this fishing kayak, the cart is too narrow making it difficult to span the DoubleU design in the center of the kayak bottom. It causes one or the other contact points to slid into the U design tilting the kayak. I would have to take some time to adjust the kayak on the cart to make contact with the flat outer hull. That being said, I have found that if I move the cart further back on the kayak where the kayak is narrower the cart fits just fine. The rub is, because the cart is further back you wind up carrying more weight when you lift up the front of the kayak. I like the kayak more towards the center of the kayak, near the seat, to balance the weight and then its light, easy to move and maneuver. Its a little more trouble, a little more time but I prefer that to carrying more weight. I have a mod in mind already to fix this issue. Suspenz does have a cart that I think will fit better, All-Terrain Super Duty AIRLESS Cart. For $30 more I could have gone that route and skip the modification I will be making to the Suspenz cart that I ordered. By design the AT SD Airless Cart would carry a Old Town Sportsman using the DoubleU hull design. Looks like perfect match. Anyway if my mod does not work, I will give my grandson my Suspenz HD Airless Cart and purchase Suspenz All-Terrain Super Duty AIRLESS Cart. It's appears bigger, taller and folds up larger than the Suspenz HD Airless cart that I bought, which is why I made the choice I made. It looks like it would take up too much space in the kayak if I choose to carry it. Bottom line, I would not give it a second thought to make another Suspenz purchase, the quality is top notch, great finish, the straps looks to be of good quality. The buckle, it works fine but I have some reservation of the metal. I'll not ding it a star for a maybe. Let's see what happens down the road, time will tell. Over all, I think I will get years of service from this cart. ... show more

  • The one to get for canoes.
I've had a bunch of these types of carts over the years. I think I like this one best for getting canoes to the water over relatively short distances (not miles). These aren't for long portages, you need bearings for that in any type of cart you buy. But this one is of a lot nicer build quality than others I've had of this type. The airless wheels are great. Pneumatic tires on other carts have continually failed. The straps are properly thought out and of high quality. This is another area where carts of past have continually failed. I prefer foam bumpers on the cradle, but the rubber ones are okay so far, if a bit slick on a wet hull. The powder coating is nice, it's a sharp looking piece of equipment! The axle is very solid and backed on the inside of the wheels. Others sometimes just have a cheap plastic spacer that is easily lost. I would recommend this one over others of the same type. It's well thought out, and the common points of failure with these types of carts have been well addressed. For canoes this is a winner. I'll add that it's possible to get pneumatic wheels with bearings if you want to use it for longer distances. I have a set of wheels with bearings from another cart that fit this one perfectly. You'd just need to know outside diameter of the axle (I don't have that measurement) and you could order from any number of sources. Generally a Canadian/Swedish canoe walker type cart is preferred for long distances, though. Careful, companies are making those without bearings as well now, too. ... show more

  • Well made and works great with my Sea Eagle tandem kayak
Pleased with the quality and functionality of this cart. I have a Sea Eagle 385 kayak that I would either carry in the heavy and cumbersome pack or sometimes inflate and carry the still heavy and now awkwardly cumbersome kayak between my vehicle and the lake shore. With this cart, I inflate the kayak at the vehicle or campsite, secure it on the cart with the two included straps, and make an easy trek to the lakeshore. I love that it it folds down to fit in the carry bag, stows well in the kayak, that there is no worry about a flat tire with the solid rubber wheels, and that the wheels will float the carry bag should it fall overboard. I have two Hobie kayaks mounted on a Malone Microsport trailer but my inflatable is the go to if I'm not able to tow the Malone trailer. ... show more

  • A gem.
Put the wheels on. Put the straps on. Put the canoe on and you're ready to go. Well, I had to add a little to the straps for my 14' 120 lb. 42" beam canoe but what a relief to pull it along with little effort instead of dragging it through the grass (or rocks, or gravel or other rough approaches) to the launch area. And you can load all your equipment, including your friend's kayak, and make it in one trip. ... show more

  • Great Kayak/SUP Cart
Great cart!! Would recommend if you want to carry some weight. I use it to get my Ocean Kayak Malibu XL 2 seater and a NRS 10.8 SUP to the water with all our gear. Once at the water, It easily straps on with a couple of bungees. I even threw on a friends second inflatable kayak this past weekend and had no issues getting all 3 to the water!! I don’t have a great pic of it all together, but can add one later. ... show more

  • Excellent product
This cart is perfect in every way. Bought it for our ocean tandem which is well over 100 lbs. Works like a charm over almost all surfaces! Highly recommend

  • Works great
I bought this for my Crescent Crew since it was heavy duty. It makes my kayak simple to move, well worth it.
