I absolutely adore this crib! It's incredibly sturdy and well-designed, and I was even able to assemble it myself at 8 months pregnant without any hassle. The quality exceeded my expectations, and the price is unbeatable. If you're unsure about whether to buy it, trust me—just go for it! You won't regret it. It has quickly become my favorite piece in the entire nursery. One downside in the future though is that the infant attachment alone costs over $100, which feels a bit steep considering the entire crib was around $200. Because of space, I wanted a crib thats both chic & small and this is it! I got the gray one and I love it. Surprised that it didn't come broken or scratched because of delivery. No weird smells. I actually put this together myself with no help. It took me about 45 mins. The instructions was easy to understand and there was no missing parts. Parts were labeled and well organized, especially the tools/hardware. Love that it came with it's own tools so I didn't have to use any of mines. The crib itself is sturdy and simple. I also love it bc since I'm short, I can place my baby in crib without hurting my back. So if you are looking for a cute, simple crib, and it doesnt take up space, easy to put together, this is it! This crib is absolutely GORGEOUS! It seems like the perfect substitute if you’re here because you don’t want to spend $500 on the Babyletto crib and honestly it’s way prettier in person. Assembly was easy (for my hubs) and it was very sturdy. When I was reading reviews prior to my own purchase, I decided to chance it when so many people were bringing up the strong odor and sadly we ended up being so disappointed. Pulling it out of the box, the crib smells overwhelmingly like varnish. We let it sit in the room for just under a month with the windows open during sunny weather to air it out. We wiped it down multiple times with a microfiber cloth, hot water, and tide in hopes of getting some of the smell to come off to no avail. We kept a fan blowing to help the air circulate. It was all in vain. Ultimately, I was so sad to decide to return the crib and purchased a different brand. I was truly bummed because it was perfect other than the smell - but as anyone can imagine, we can’t risk our baby inhaling such strong chemicals smells when he’s in the room. So many other reviewers were happy overall with their purchase so if you choose to purchase it despite the other reviews regarding the smell, I genuinely hope it works out because i would have loved to keep that crib!! ... show more

Good buy! In Target, there is a product similar, called Delta Children Jordan. I feel it’s pretty much same quality as this one Essex.
