  • Arrived on time
Color: red
Very nice looking.

  • Good instrument for the price
Color: red
Just got this for my son who loves to play music. This much cheaper than ones you would get at the music store, but it does a decent job. Little tricky figuring out putting the mouthpiece in the right place. If the mouth piece is not correct, it is out of tune.

  • Great Sax for the Price!
Color: red
This is a really great sounding and looking soprano sax. The extras alone make it quite a bargain. After reading some less than favorable reviews, I was a little concerned but once I played it, my concerns disappeared. I've played tenor and alto sax (own both) but never played a soprano until now. It has a good tonal quality and is really easy to play. All this for under 250 dollars is quite impressive! ... show more

  • well it just broke
Color: red
I mean you kinda can't beat it for the price. But then it just broke during a warm-up at the neck tenon joint. The pads are make with some sort of cheap stuff that makes them sticky when wet, so that's a problem. I can't play high notes well for some reason and I've played a long time and even on soprano and this is my first time ever having this issue ever in my life. Pretty upset now. But you definitely get what you paid for. ... show more

  • Soprano Sax a pleasant surprise
Color: red
Where do i begin.... Man for a 300 dollar horm stunned at the key response, and how the sax feels. A solid feel wirh great key action. The sound, wow the sound is amazing for 300, they say, " you get what paid for", in the case of sound, not true. Sound value is much higher than 300. -- now intonation is really bad though. You cant play this with anyone since its so out of tune, but its a great starter horn for someone who would like to explore. If u are consistent with it, then u should definitely buy a more expensive horn that plays in tune. ... show more

  • You get what you pay for, BUT every one of these is different.
Color: red
All these Chinese horns are made by one factory then sold under many different names. By different dealers. On arrival this horn would not play. Step one remove all the foam wedges securing the keys. Step two manually lift each key from its seat gently. Most will be stuck to the lacquer on the tone holes. Step three with the appropriate size screw driver (1, 1.5 or 2mm) tighten every screw. This horn only had 2. An alto I received yesterday had 50% loose and two missing. On these sopranos, curved or straight the octave key register is always a problem. Usually it’s lost motion, loose screws or mismatched springs. On this horn the black lacquer antiquing was binding the collective rods. There are two and they should be parallel when viewed from the side. I’ll attempt to attach pictures. Once I got the octave pad to function tone was acceptable. Get a good mouthpiece. Start with a No. 2 Reed. A $40 Yamaha 4c mouthpiece will make this $240 horn play like a $400 horn. Finally oil every moving join with a light machine oil. Gun oil in a micro dropper works fine. Every one of there I’ve had came in dry as a bone. ... show more

  • Great value for the money
Color: red
This horn is a great way to break into playing the soprano without having to first spend 2K+. The horn is built surprisingly well, with no issues being found with the keys, pads, or screws. No leaks have been found, which is surprising for a sub-1k $ horn. The only issues with the horn are the included accessories. The mouthpiece, reed, ligature, and horn case are all low quality. At this level, a decent mouthpiece might cost more than the horn itself, but is well worth the investment as the included mouthpiece is borderline unusable. The horn is very loose when stored in the case so i would imagine that your experience with build quality may vary. Get yourself a vandoren mouthpiece and a decent case and you’re honestly good to go. Other than the issues mentioned I give this horn 5 stars strictly for the quality of horn you get for under 300 hundred bucks. ... show more

  • Clearly a bad investment
Color: gold
Well first thing you notice is that the reed had a split in it and the ligature fell apart in my hands when trying to remove it. Bought a new reed to check it out only to find the F# Key pad won't seal making the lower register so far out of tune the horn is useless. If you buy this horn be prepared to purchase new reed, ligature and mouthpiece. Would not recommend. ... show more
