- The Poseidon Angler paddle is made of a two-piece anti-slip grip aluminum shaft and fiberglass reinforced polypropylene blades. This ensures better durability and performance on the water and offers an excellent value for money.
- This fishing paddle includes an integrated hook retrieval system directly into the blade and a high visibility measurement tape along the shaft that will allow you to measure your catch.
- The Poseidon Angler paddle offers a unique ergonomic shaft design that helps with indexing. The right side of the shaft changes from a rounded shape to a slightly oval shape that tells you where to place your hand. This promotes proper technique that reduces wrist fatigue.
- The push button system allows the blades to be feathered with a 0/65 angle. Paddling with offset blades will reduce the wind resistance on the top blade as it moves through the air. This ensures an optimized and more comfortable paddling experience.
- Inside the paddle, there are 2 additional flotation blocks allowing the paddle to float. This way, you will have no problem retrieving your paddle if it ends up in the water.

Very pleased with this purchase. I've used it for an entire bass season and I was able to use the hooked part to retrieve a valuable lure. The only time the hook can be an issue is if you are paddling through some very thick weeds it really grabs them as you paddle. I've had to flip it upside-down to avoid that at times. It's very light, but sturdy and the cost was not exorbitant.

Lightweight, floats, the water stopper oring things don't really mitigate water very well I guess it's better than nothing but it still gets through the center and around it of course. But over all it has held up to some abuse but if you paddle hard it feels like the paddles are folding backwards. I have a feeling it won't make it through a second season. But for now it's been great.

I have the Life-time 10' kayak. This is the perfect paddle for a "sit on top" kayak. It was packaged well and arrived undamaged. Has multiple holes in the pole where the two ends connect together so you can off set the paddles if you want. I tried several different settings, but eventually went back to a straight alinement. It worked best for me. The shaft is bent in a little on one shaft so you can easily adjust your grip without having to constantly look at the ends to see if you have it in your hands correctly... great feature usually only found on much spendier paddles. The shaft has some kind of coating that makes griping easier as well. The thing I most cared about is the length. The paddle that came with the kayak was way too short and I would get soaked as I paddled because I had to lift the paddle so far out of the water for each stroke. The Pelican Poseidon is a full foot longer and has drip rings on each end to prevent "drip back" as you paddle. No more soaking! Well worth the purchase price... would buy again!

i got this for 44.95 as a back up paddle for when i launch or get in hairy situations and fishing hook thing may come in handy if i every fish, which i intend to in the summer times. you cant beat the quality for price, i mean its a trusted brand, and on craigslist old ones are going for similar prices and are beat up. even for a main paddle this is a very incredible deal. this is on par with the sea eagle paddle i returned that was $79. as for under $50 i challenge any1 on amazon to beat this with a trusted brand, i highly doubt it.
