This was my first kayak. I needed something that wasn’t too much for me to carry around myself (5’4”, 130lbs). I’ve been mostly pleased with this purchase. Some pluses - it’s very stable, has storage, place to store other gear up top. I’m a newbie at kayaking but would say it probably tracks well for a short kayak. Biggest downside is the seat. It works ok once you have it fully attached and you’re seated in kayak, but doesn’t want to stay connected in any convenient way for storage and transferring. I find it a real pain.

I called the shipping carrier and waited on the phone for help, however no AI was able to help. Then I contacted Amazon and no AI was able to help. Is there another AI that has at least half a brain? I won't be able to kayak on my birthday trip as a result of lazy humans introducing lazy AI. What happened to hard work and real service these days? I wanted the blue version but the color was hundreds more for no reason. Then the blue version drops the price for no reason after I ordered the orange version. Emotion does not sell plugs to stop the water going through the floor for no reason. These holes do not help on a still lake. The 350lb rating is not the real max weight. 200lbs - 250LBS is the max weight without it moving very slowly. A larger kayak is required for anyone over 250lbs. Update: The kayak did not arrive last week. I did not accept the late delivery today. I did not sign for it and it looked so dented and had loose orange plastic scraps from it being possibly dragged and abused. Now Amazon wants me to wait over 24 hours to call them back? I was on the phone for over a half hour today. Update: After waiting 10 more days Amazon never followed up. Then Amazon says the police report is too blurry. My credit card company, discover, has a direct line with Amazon and so Discover transfered me, however Amazon quickly hung up the phone without a conversation. Update: I had bought two of these orange kayaks but only one arrived and that one leaked at the dry storage area. The lake water flooded through the dry storage lid seal and washed my stuff to the ends of the kayak where I can not reach. I lost my $64 fishing license inside the kayak this way and my ID. See photo. The ID washed to the center and the fishing license was more stuck to the plastic. See photo. The water weight inside the storage area is very dangerous and it does not poor out upside down due to the gravity and shape of the plastic. The trapped water there does not evapoate after a week with the lid open. Both the company and Amazon know about the risks requiring a kayak being returned that is about half full of lake water, right? What a gross way to to treat an online business model? Welcome to the grand 2026 Amazon yuck show! More yuck coming soon if you buy this item and repeat what I learned and shared! So I ended up ordering a paddle board to replace what I wanted to work out, but at a hudge loss to my time on earth. Tell me where to kiss this app goodbye. Update: My return is canceled for no reason. As a result, I set up a new pick up time on Tues instead of Monday, however my app won't let me see the return label to print and attach to the kayak. Scheduled three different days for pick up and each day was a no show. Then a random van arrived on a random day later the next month to pick it up. No front license plate and the rear door swung around all the way hidding the back license plate. I moved the door and took a photo of the license plate when the driver was in the back of the van! Driver did not scan the return label I was finally able to print. He ripped the label off and stuck it to the inside wall of the van. (I had to buy a new printer from Amazon, but that arrived broken too.) The inside of the kayak arrived with a ton of small plastic scraps. Much of the plastic scraps ended up washing out into the garden while trying to get the water out and also my stuff out from the dry storage area. I used towels for 15 minutes to get the inside water all dry. Amazon also said they would make an exception for me to make this right, but that did not happen. Update: Amazon admitted today that the refund issued five hours before the actual pick up was wrong information. No refund actually happened. Then the app status changed from, picked up, to "pick up failed". I bet Amazon forces me to do another police report for this item (bought two of these). Three police reports for three different items in less than a month would be crazy if Amazon thinks requesting that is the Amazon policy. Why do I have to file a police report everytime Amazon hires a 3rd party to mess up so often? Now I have police departments following up from all around the country because Amazon is passing their job onto me. This is making my insomnia worse and I know Amazon is doing it on purpose! Next time, please allow me to return the junk sent to me with an option to also return it at a UPS Store. Then no one option ever becomes a forced method of return if I'm given a choice on how to return it. Update: A truck arrived at 4:20am on the morning of 9-18-26 to pick up the kayak, yet they picked it up ealier in the week already. Crazy! Then Amazon chat disconnects the chat about 40 minutes later after the driver scared the animals at 4:20am. I may call the police!

For me this is a nice boat. It handles somewhat choppy water just fine, and it tracks pretty well for a sit-on-top. It's comfortable for at least a couple of hours, my typical outing, on lakes that can get a bit choppy with winds and power boats creating wakes. I love sitting on top, easy to get on and off, and it has never come close to tipping. There are various footrest positions so you can vary your posture. You can clip a paddle leash to it, and there are bungees by the side handholds so you can put the paddle alongside if you want to float with it out of the way. You can also clip the seat back down for storing/transport There is a storage compartment with a watertight seal in the hull, though I'm not convinced that the space stays dry, have noticed a little water in there, but I haven't found a use for that yet, since I just keep what I need in a waterproof bag on top in easy reach. Overall, if you want a sturdy boat that is easy to use and will even fit inside a Honda HRV, this one will work.

I've used this kayak on a few multi-mile paddles on camping trips and have even taken it over some low-grade rapids with no real issues. It's extremely stable and has enough room for me to strap a drybag with my sleep system, shelter & cooking items onto the back and a smaller drybag or backpack with clothes & food on the front. It doesn't track perfectly straight unless you're going through some really calm water but that hasn't been a problem for me at all, just something to be aware of. The only point of contention I have with this kayak is the bottom seat pad. It's secured in place with a few small plastic bits and the holes through the seat which those bits go through can stretch/tear. To prevent this from being a significant issue requiring you to get a new seat pad I'd suggest *carefully* removing the pad from the kayak before securing it to your roof rack etc. The wind while driving can get under/around the pad and cause it to violently flap which can tear those holes around the mount points. If you do that it shouldn't really be an issue. The material isn't exactly the highest grade but it's decent enough. I've taken it over lots of rocks and logs with no real issue. Just scratches here and there. So yeah, it's a cheap yak and yeah it's not perfect but there's nothing about this boat that will keep you from thoroughly enjoying a day on the water. It could use better handles on the sides and it could use a better mechanism for the seat/pad but when in use and with proper care, those are non issues.

My Happy Place- After a month, I am very happy with this kayak. I have been out about 4 times a week for 4-6 mile trips and am looking forward to working my way up to longer trips. It is short enough to fit in my mini-van, and light enough that I can handle it by myself. I am 5’4” and wanted something I could take out by myself and this definitely fits the bill. The shorter length makes it easy to maneuver but it takes a little practice to keep straight over long distances as compared to a 10 or 12 foot kayak. The two tank-wells give plenty of storage outside and the hatch is very convenient for inner storage. Overall, a great kayak for the money.

Poor or defective design. The front of the kayak seems to be fighting the back at all times and constantly wants to spin around and is not stable side to side either. Even on dry ground it wobbles and spins around with a slight breeze. Looking at it more closely, seems like the overall design is faulty - like someone who knows nothing about kayaks saw a picture of one once and designed an approximate copy. More specifically, the underside is very, very oval with a much larger front than rear, hence, as soon as you stop paddling, even for a second, the kayak starts spinning and wants to swap the front end with rhe rear. It's also very rounded left to right so that reduces stability too. Another design flaw related to ergonomics, the foot rests are unusable - you can't put your feet on them because there's no room for your ankles! So either have to twist your feet sideways to point your toes out and ankles way in or just put your legs on top and not use them!? The third major flaw is the scupper holes. However they designed them, your back gets soaked from water constantly splashing up and forward from the back scupper holes, even in very calm waters. There are also 2 scupper holes directly under where you sit, so good luck trying to stay somewhat dry. I could go on about the side handle design being flawed as well making them useless but I'll stop there. What's a shame is that the cost to have made all these things perfectly would have been zero - it's just the way the plastic mold is designed and engineered without any thought about function. Looked at it side by side with a couple other kayak brands we have and the design errors are immediately obvious. Good things about this kayakm - the seatback it pretty comfortable and the price is low.
