My contractor installed a double outlet under the sink to service the disposal and dishwasher, and he installed two wall switched to control the outlets. The problem is the contractor wired both plugs in the outlet to a single wall switch. As a result, if the switch is "on" to run the dishwasher, then the disposal is running. I tried to solve the problem by plugging a remote control device into one of the plug, but there wasn't enough room for that device. This outlet extender with rotating plug allowed me to overcome the physical constrictions by installing it horizontally which then allowed me to plug in the remote control device. That saved me having to rip out the sink cabinet to access the wiring or drill through the countertop to install an "air switch" for the disposal. I installed a cabinet in my bathroom and at the time, put it butt up against the side of my outlet. Forward to now that I have electric toothbrushes and hair styling products to plug in, I kind of messed up with the cabinet. Found this and works perfectly. You can turn it but it's thin enough to sit straight down and has enough plugs for everything I need. Liked it so much, I bought 3 more! Only complaint is the USB-C plug isn't strong, like at all! I plugged in my wireless charger for my phone and the light kept blinking (it meant not enough power) so I unplugged it and had to use a regular plug, so be aware of that! ... show more
