  • Great purchase.
we're taking a closer look at the Razer Viper V2 Pro, the successor to the highly-acclaimed Viper Ultimate. Razer claims it's 22% lighter and packed with upgrades, so is it really the new king of wireless gaming mice? Let's find out First Impressions? First things first, the packaging is sleek and understated. Razer's definitely focusing on the minimalist vibe here. Opening it up, we're greeted by the Viper V2 Pro itself, nestled in a foam cutout. At just 58 grams, it's one of the lightest wireless mice on the market. It's almost like holding nothing at all! The matte black finish feels grippy and premium, and the overall design is familiar yet refined. I like the subtle curves and the honeycomb cutouts on the sides, which further reduce weight without compromising on rigidity. The Viper V2 Pro keeps things simple with a 5-button layout: two main clicks, a scroll wheel, and two side buttons on the left. No RGB lighting here, which is part of how they achieved the featherweight design. But honestly, who needs flashy lights when you have pure performance like this? Speaking of performance, the Viper V2 Pro boasts Razer's latest Focus Pro 30K optical sensor, which tracks flawlessly on any surface I threw at it. The Gen 3 optical switches are satisfyingly clicky and incredibly fast, with a 90 million click lifespan. And the battery life? Razer claims up to 80 hours on a single charge, which is insane for a wireless mouse this light. But how does it all translate to actual gameplay? I've been using the Viper V2 Pro for the past week, głównie w [mention specific games you played], and it's been an absolute dream. The weight makes it incredibly flickable and agile, perfect for fast-paced FPS action. The tracking is precise and consistent, even at high speeds, and the clicks are responsive and satisfying. I feel like I have complete control over my movements, which is crucial for competitive gaming. So, is the Razer Viper V2 Pro the new king of wireless gaming mice? It's definitely a strong contender. It's incredibly lightweight, has flawless performance, and boasts amazing battery life. However, it is on the pricier side, and the lack of RGB and extra buttons might be dealbreakers for some. But for me, the pros far outweigh the cons. The Viper V2 Pro is an absolute beast of a mouse, and if you're a serious gamer looking for the best possible edge, it's definitely worth checking out. ... show more

  • Damn Good
The mouse is great, the sensor is flawless, the weight is really good, regardless, I modded mine with an aftermarket base to save another 10 grams getting the whole thing to about 48 grams. BUT... I didn't buy this thing for the weight (even though it is pretty good). I bought this thing for the insane wireless tech the engineers at razer managed to throw in this thing. Firstly, the mouse is smooth, your inputs are consistent and smooth, I didn't know what this was at first but it turns out its something called "Motion Sync", it's amazing and apparently only available on the newest sensors and your can really feel it. Now we get to a second feature that I love, 4000hz wireless polling, I have been excited to get a high polling rate mouse so when I saw this thing released I picked it up immediately, you do have to purchase the wireless adapter separately, but it's great, mouse movements feel even smoother and my reactions feel instant. The battery performance is the only thing that is lacking whatsoever, if you are using the 4000hz polling rate with the dongle you will have to charge this device every other day or so, it charges pretty fast and the cable they include is amazing (usb c) so it isn't that big of a deal, but if you are someone who hates ever plugging in your mouse and you know you can't ever remember to plug it in you might want to look elsewhere. This mouse is amazing and if the shape is for you I highly recommend giving it a go. ... show more

  • Honest
Love this mouse the only problem that came with My mouse was that the dongle my mouse came with was not working and I had to use the charger it brought to use it 9/10

  • Original gave up on razor, but gave them a (fifth?) chance, and I wasn't disappointed this time.
EDIT 2023: So yesterday I ran out of battery. Unplugged the dongle it comes with, plugged the mouse in to charge. TODAY its finished charging, I switch over to the 2.4ghz wifi dongle, nothing. Windows doesn't update or anything. Mouse isn't working. Plug the cable back into the mouse, connection is instant to windows. The wireless stopped working. which kind of negates the point of it being a "wireless" mouse. I am pissed off. I haven't owned this mouse for long, and I had issues with razer products in the past. Seems they still make absolutely TRASH products. There is no reason for failure. I tried taking the usb receiver and plugging it into various usb ports. My monitor has usb ports that I use time to time, nothing. plugged into the front panel usb, nothing. plugged into the back, nothing. I think the dongle itself died. Google it, sure enough, common issue. People just "buy another razer mouse" why would you buy the same failing product twice? I sure as heck wont.... re-adjusted my review to 1 star. Barely 5 months of heavy daily use and its dead. Using it in wired sucks because im so used to wireless. Time to find ANOTHER mouse to use. ugh. My history with Razer goes WAY BACK. I had either the viper or diamondback, not sure which my memory is fuzzy. Whichever it was, brilliant mouse, until it broke. I had the copperhead after that, again until it broke. I had the OG death adder.... until it broke. Then I gave up on razer the first time. They came back with the "new age death adder" a few times, I forget which but it was definitely more recent than the rest of the mice, but it didn't feel right and I was having issues with it. I swore off razer products AGAIN. Then a while longer went by. Eventually I ended up trying out a ton of other brands, even some third party and chinese mice. Went with a certain rocket brand (lmao changed name so it can stay in review) but the first of their mice died in a year, and every mouse after from that brand had scroll wheel issues which I HEAVILY use.... I even tried the cooler-Meister mice (switch the words, again so it can stay in the review) which I really enjoyed their "extra wide" mice with the ring finger rest.... but alas they just had issues. So here I am now, with the razer viper v2 wireless. and holy hanna, it works. the charge usually lasts me about a week or two depending on how much "gaming" I do. but the real kicker is how fast it charges. I generally plug it in as soon as the little light starts blinking red, forget how long its been plugged in, and its usually in the 90% charge category by the time I check. which to me says a whole hell of a lot. I had an off brand mouse that wouldn't charge for crap.... its glides smoothly over my mouse pad. it also seems to track fairly well. and no matter if im moving the mouse slow or fast for flicks, it travels essentially the same distance. some of the other brands of mice can't do that. I mainly got this mouse as a "last ditch effort" to try razer again. I wanted "optical" switches as my previous cooler-meister mouse had, but this is wireless (got tired of my cooler-misester mouse snagging and binding up cable wise). this mouse has been a dream. and im actually happy i gave razer another change. lets just hope this effer lasts! ive been using it since sept this year (December review) so two months of use (8 hour days minimum on my pc). it just works! ... show more
