Used these clamps for my new surco safari rack i put on my 04 grand cherokee laredo. The rack came with the cross rails and these clamps slide right on those. These clamps tighten and secure your rack very well to existing side rails on my jeep. Very satisfied!

I first called Surco to insure I was ordering the clamp which would fit my car, I was advised and ordered the item 1101. Item delivered in a plastic bag, no instructions, no inventory document, just a bag of loose parts, Item did not fit my car, and I did not know it was delivered without the "CLAMP ATTACHMENT TOOL" because there was no inventory list provided with the item. Only by going on forums to see how to mount it, (Surco has no online support or manuals) that I figured out I was missing the most importation part. So, the item which Surco told me would fit my car did not, and they sent the item to me with a missing part that I had no way of knowing that it was missing.
