I find this 12V TV to be excellent for my application. I have it in my RV on a swivel mount. It's true that you have to position it head on to get the best picture, but this is not an issue with my adjustable swivel mount. The picture quality is sharp and clear. Now, the sound is barley acceptable without an external speaker. Again, no big deal. I purchased a small portable Sony XB20 bass enhanced speaker and took the head phone out jack to the head phone in jack on the speaker. The sound quality is now outstanding with lots of bass.     • Buyer Beware - I Recommend Samsung UN19F4000 Instead
I bought this TV with high hopes, particularly given the pitch that it's 1080p and HD. Wow, was I disappointed! The picture quality was poor, and very poor if you watch at any angle other than directly in front of it. The sound quality was also very poor -- tinny and insufficient volume. But here's the good news: (1) The non-Amazon seller (The Wires Zone) send me a free UPS mailing label, I shipped it back to them, and they refunded me in full, and (2) After returning it, I bought the "Samsung UN19F4000 19-Inch 720p 60Hz LED TV (2013 Model)" and that one I RECOMMEND. The Samsung is FAR superior in all aspects -- fine picture (even when viewed at an angle it is watchable) and sound, with similar features, even though it's only 720p and is the 2013 model (it is now 2016)! The only feature lacking in the Samsung that was available in the SuperSonic is the ability to play it using a DC source; so obviously if you need that, you may be stuck with the SuperSonic; if not, get the Samsung. ... show more

    • Good TV with some flaws
I bought this TV as a replacement for another 19" TV on my kitchen countertop that died after a thunderstorm. Here is my review: - Picture: On the plus side the picture is sharp with good color rendition. On the negative side the viewing angles aren't very good. The horizontal viewing angle is about 30* on each side. For the vertical it washes out quickly when viewed from above and darkens when viewed from below. - Tuner: The tuner is quite good! I use an antenna and when it scanned for channels it selected all channels that had moderate to strong signals and discarded all channels that had weak signals. In addition, it changes channels quickly - Sound: As most viewers have noted the built in speakers sound very tinny. I found this grating but my wife thought it sounded acceptable. I fixed this by purchasing a pair of Amazon Basics USB Plug-n-Play Computer Speakers. These attach to the TVs USB port and headphone jack. When attached the TVs remote control adjusts the sound of these speakers and disconnects the internal speakers. Just make sure that you turn up the volume control of the Amazon speakers. Once it is adjusted you don't have to adjust it any more. Boy what a difference! Well worth the additional &15.50 cost. Amazon Basics USB Plug-n-Play Computer Speakers ... show more

    • Not the best, but not the worst
Not the best, but not the worst? The backlight for the screen doesn't seem to be able to be adjusted, so it's too bright no matter what I do. I literally had to adjust EVERY SINGLE PICTURE SETTING! I've NEVER had to tweak a TV's settings that much upon an initial buy. @_@ And the graphics are still annoying to deal with when gaming. The backlight makes it very difficult to view the screen from a higher angle when gaming, and since the tv is short, I had to prop it up higher just to make the picture view properly. Additionally, there's one pixel on the screen that is bright green on and off, and you have to poke the bottom of the screen every hour or two to make it go away temporarily, especially since it's in the middle on the damn screen. BY THE WAY, the stand is a lie? The stand is two v-shaped stands screwed in under both ends of the screen and feels really shaky, not a central stand as the picture shows. This is a huge downer since I have my tv balanced on my PS4 usually, so now I have it balanced over my PS4 and a game case on one side, and my wii and 2 other cases on the other, just to make the damn thing level and high enough to view properly when sitting in my computer chair. Despite all this, it's not the worst, I guess? For the price, I guess it's okay, but I say that you're better off paying a little more for a better brand TV ... show more

    • Great Under Cabinet TV for the Kitchen
It took me awhile to finally pair the TV with my Fios remote, but I finally got it. I think it sounds fine, but my wife thought it was a bit tinny. The picture is very good, better than my 720p tv that just died.
