I got a hammock with a stand a few months ago and the "fabric" of the "waterproof" material was so slick it was too dangerous to use. Any hammock has an element of danger but with only a little caution that danger can be avoided. Not the one that came with my stand. This hammock is perfect! Not slick at all in my opinion, only smooth, soft, and comfortable, and easy to get on and off of. I hung it on my stand late yesterday and calling it a night right then and there was tempting. So comfortable I had to fight off sleep to get up and finish my day. The two piece spreader bars is a brilliant idea for folding for storing and/or transport. Strong bars with tight connections. I think the curves help with comfort and ease of on and off. I didn't see anything listed about being weatherproof but, as with any hammock, I recommend bringing it indoors when not in use anyway. Several years ago I got a deal on some "weatherproof" rope style hammocks. I bought one for myself and one with a stand for my son. I advised him to bring his indoors when not in use. He put it under the trees in his back yard and never brought it in. I think it only lasted a year before the rope rotted beyond use. Mine, on the other hand, aside from being a little dusty, is still hanging under my shop as strong as ever. With the ease of assembly, hanging, and folding for storage I suggest bringing this one in if you want it to last. Unless, of course, you hang it under cover of a covered patio or something else where it doesn't get constantly exposed to rain and harmful UV rays. I can't speak of the pillow as the hammock itself was so comfortable I forgot to try it out. I've never used one with my old one anyway. As I said I already have a rope hammock but it is to stay under my shop where I can relax in the shade and breeze looking out over the property behind me. I wanted this one for the stand to use out in the sun on days I feel like baking, which is often when I am not working. Great product. Great value.

As recent retirees, my spouse and I have been transforming our backyard into a peaceful oasis, and this SUPERJARE 12ft quilted hammock was the perfect addition. We initially planned to keep this fantastic hammock for ourselves, but when our daughter and her family visited, they fell in love with it instantly, so we ended up gifting it to them, especially since we spend most weekends at their home enjoying family barbecues and their pool. They also have a perfect spot with two mature trees, and it fits seamlessly into their outdoor decor with its gorgeous grey color. The hammock arrived swiftly and was well-packaged, and the quality is apparent right out of the box. It's made of durable polyester with sturdy bamboo spread bars, and the adjustable chain and strong rope make it both secure and cozy, supporting up to 450lbs, and it's definitely designed to last. It also comes with a great carry bag, making it versatile and portable for any adventure, and includes a super comfy detachable pillow. The stitching is impeccable, and our son-in-law found it easy to assemble. It comfortably fits two people, and this hammock has become a favorite spot for relaxation. We enjoy using the hammock every weekend when we visit, and our grandchildren absolutely adore it. For its quality, stability, size, comfort, and joy it brings, it's very reasonably priced. I cannot say enough great things about this double hammock: >>Colors are VIBRANT, and look amazing with my lawn as a backdrop - VERY ATTRACTIVE. >>Oh, that PILLOW…I anticipated replacing mine because I expected the typical under stuffed, unsupportive commercial outdoor pillow - I WAS WRONG - I would not dare to replace so soft, yet so firm, pillow. >>Quality is AMAZING. As a decades-long hand-stitcher, I always check the seams of all stitched items and this well-constructed double hammock definitely has me IMPRESSED. >>It is HUGE. Definitely exceeds comfort space needed for two adults. Could easily accommodate a small herd of kiddos. Mine is deliberately lowered for doggy access (nothing to report here yet - she is wary when it sways mildly in a breeze:) >>Assembly Sure Looked Easy (a helpful pal did it for me) I have no negative comments whatsoever on my new outdoor summertime nappin’ zone. If I HAD to think of something that could make it better…CUPHOLDERS! I crafted my own; here is the recipe: >> 9” x 12” plywood, drill 4 1” holes in each corner, couple of bigger holes in middle allowing clay pots to rest on their rims. Sand all edges. Paint/Stain/Whatever. >>Macramé/rope/bungies, attach to plywood board. >>Tie to nearby overhead branch or gazebo beam. You Will Not Want To Get Up From This Cozy Outdoor Nest, and staying hydrated is as easy as reaching out for your cold beverage. Happy Nappin’!! A TEN STAR HAMMOCK!!

replaced my rope hammock with this one. feels like a quilt, it looks great, it's comfortable. i bring it inside when i'm not using it, but it still got wet the other day. dried in only a few hours, was using it again by midday. it's very soft and i imagine taking care of it will last a long time. as soft and colorful as it is.
