The product is excellent it comes in a really nice plastic tub the lid was almost impossible to get off we finally had to get plastic Cutters and cut the lid off we could not get it off any other way. But the wood burns nicely it's a nice size pieces it's just pricey but I would still buy it again I think it's a great product ... show more

I didn't find anything that I disliked about it. It is shipped in a very waterproof and rugged plastic tub with handle. (And that was inside the usual Amazon box.) It looks like it should keep the wood dry even if left in the rain. It even floats. The lid does take some effort to open (start on a corner), but more than makes up for that by being very secure and water tight. I tested it by dropping it from 6 feet to concrete, and it didn't pop open once. Good quality wood, dry and ready to burn. It burns evenly, cleanly, and long. ... show more

I wish I could say this was worth the price, but for me it really wasn't. The storage box is handy and I am using it for fire wood for my outdoor wood-burn pizza oven. It keeps all moisture out, which is extremely important. The wood that came in it was not great. There was an extraordinary amount of very large spark throwing pops each time I burned any of it, making me think the wood was not dried correctly. As I mentioned, the box keeps moisture out and no wood I've put in there has done the same, so I am sure it wasn't moisture that seeped in during storage. Some of the wood had paint on it. So I was not keen on using it for cooking. I ended up just using it for other purposes. Okay, now to talk about opening the box. I didn't find it difficult at all, like many other reviewers said was their experience. I found the tab to pull easily and was able to remove the security strip without that much effort. Opening the lid takes a bit of elbow grease, but is not too hard. I think it is a good thing the top is not extremely easy to take off because it shows that it is tight enough to keep out moisture, the enemy of good fire wood. ... show more
