This item is not self-propelled however it does a great job picking up leaves. The extension hose is not effective and dose not stay connected to create the suction needed to pick up leaves, it's a great disappointment when reaching behind bushing.

I have not been impressed with the performance. The hose clogs too easily, the engine stalls out when moving the unit and the main intake is too far off the ground. The reduction rate is sub par and the chipping intake does not take branches very easily. It does do a nice job of chipping the branches into small pieces. A complete waste of money. This thing makes me want to kill myself.

My unit has pretty low vacuum in my opinion, even with the hose. I think the pickup chute may have a flexible seal missing along the front. Or maybe the pickup chute valve is not right. The pickup chute is about 3 inches from the ground. It will pick up some leaves. The collection bag has air discharges low along each side near the bottom. The discharged air blows leaves away. The wheels are narrow making it hard to push through the grass. I may try taking the wood chipper chute off. The chute blocks the oil level check and fill port. Engine started right off on first pull and seems to run as expected. After using this unit a couple of days, I decided it must be returned. I find out Amazon will not allow a return. I guess because it comes from a third party seller. I have a Prime membership and no mention of decline to accept return so be aware with third party purchases. This Amazon order ended with me keeping the vacuum because it cannot be shipped after use when gasoline is involved.. Amazon still reminds me that my return is available until October 23. I guess it is AI processed. The Woot company the third party seller never responded to my request for information and never registered the unit purchase for the warrantee. Careful not to buy third party going forward.

I used the vacuum and the woodchipper. We used it on regular leaves and pine needles. Chipped up fallen branches from 1/2" to 2". Both functions work excellently. Just be methodical and patient when assembling. Every part and accompanying fasteners are numbered and laid out in perfect sequence. If it were a bit more light-weight that would be great but I suppose the woodchipper accounts for the added weight.

So very disappointed! Zero help in solving this issue. Received and assembled easily but when trying to start the leaf vacuum, noticed the part hanging on the side. I don't really want to return it but no help in solving this.... I think they could do better. I say "good luck" to whom ever orders anything from this group. Thumbs Down

This product is good but if could be excellent if the rear wheels were able to adjust to put the front vacuum nozzle closer to the ground. Not enough vacuum to lift the leaves out of short grass. Also the bag has two flaws; 1- the zipper goes below the bottom of the bag and this causes the bag to become difficult to close. a tab at the zipper would be helpful. Also a hand strap on the back of the bag to dump with would be helpful. 2- The vacuum nozzle is too high and there is a lack of sufficient adjustments.
