Had my doubts with this scooter. With my 5'9" 260 lbs frame I figured on getting 2-3 hours of battery life on convention floors with variable thickness of carpeting and limited hard floor use. Well, it proved me wrong with 4.5 to 5.5 hours before battery change with constant stop and start and faster acceleration when needed for evasive maneuvering or trying to catch open doors held open by observant kind individuals. Got lots of comments for it's agility and speed moving through tight areas. Got lots of "that's speedy!" and jealous looks from the rental fleet users that had big slow cumbersome machines. This is tiny but mighty! It's a single drive motor on one back wheel but it was competent. It slows down considerably up ramps but chugs along smoothly. It can surge at full throttle slightly as it is conservative in its power band and may not hold full speed for more than a few seconds depending on where the battery level is at. It does not have an engine brake so hands on the brake grip is essential going down hills and in heavy walking traffic because it will cruise into someone if you're not diligent and observant. Good brake lock for hills when your need to park it. The brake is a bit rough and squeaky but does well...just dont grab a big handful of brake and expect it to stop on a dime and be exceptionally careful going down hill. No front or back light so wearing a headlight or a bicycle back light or clamp on light might be needed. The basket for the front is OK...bounces a little and hooks tends to rest on the side of the bell making it difficult to use but it held an extra battery, a couple water bottles, purse and extra stuff. My husband and I were impressed immensely and it made a long walking trip at a convention much more tolerable and comfortable. The standard seat is comfortable enough and we did buy the upgrade seat but with the extra weight, we figured we would visit that option later. Cons is the tippyness is evident on tight fast acceleration turns but getting your feet to floor off the flippable pegs is easy enough with no hinderance like big scooters with big floor boards. I would not recommend for those with balance issues and require more stability as this could be too light and tippy at fast speeds and you do need some quicker reaction time to get you feet down to steady it if it happens. It isn't zero turn but it's turn is within a 5-6 foot radius But, for a lot of individuals who need an inexpensive way to get around after an injury or with disabilities that don't require more protection, and need it to fit inside a smaller car, you can't beat this! Ours fit with the handlebars down and seat back folded down in a Bronco sport without putting seat backs down so you maintain passenger capacity but impacts the storage a little. We managed 2 big duffels, 2 carry on suitcases in the second seat and about 5 extra bags with 2 people in a small SUV and didn't fold the scooter. Buy a second battery or a third and you have +/- 15 hours of convention use and peace of mind. Love this little machine!

My daughter has cerebral palsy and we were told by a friend how great the Super Handy scooter functions in or about his community. He stated it has been great for him getting around town. He said the batteries are very efficient and dependable. So, that being said, we took the plunge and bought our kiddo a super handy scooter to improve her limited mobility. I even spoke with Super Handy customer service and they were so helpful. 10/10 if you as my family !

I would like to leave a great review for Eric who helped me get the warranty sorted out with all the parts covered so that I can get my Super Handy mobility scooter. Their after purchase support via email is great and they do provide follow up frequently to make sure that my issues are resolved. In all, Eric makes the effort to make sure that my warranty parts are sorted out in the quickest way possible. Really appreciate it sir . Highly recommend Super Handy mobility scooter for their price point and it is also a eye turner in the stores where folks frequently asks about the size, compactness and where I got it.

I'm a 37 year old female with a deteriorating disease and have accepted that I need help getting around as I can't even do simple tasks anymore because anymore than a minute or 2 on my feet...and I really struggle with pain. I had a regular wheelchair for years, but I didn't like how I couldn't really be independent with it because of my disease, I no longer have the abilty to wheel myself around. I knew I needed something electric and compact that I could afford (because insurance won't cover it) and everything decent was upwards of $1k-$2k. Plus...you'd have to add a life to your car to store it, or everything was so heavy...you couldn't lift it yourself. After doing a lot of research online...I stumbled across this little scooter. Something I could fold up, lift myself and keep me independent. 6Though I was torn because all the,d reviews I read were very mixed. Most scooters (not just this one) had very mixed reviews....so I kept this scooter in my cart until I saved some money up. Then I saw it went on sale for about $450 with free shipping and a 30 day return policy...so I couldn't pass it up. A lot of the bad reviews I read were about the seat...but I saw there was an upgraded seat you could get for $100-$150 that people said to buy that and it solved the problem while still remaining on the cheaper side. So I bought the scooter to test it a little bit and I figured if I decided to keep it...I'd upgrade the seat. It was insanely easy to assemble. I did it myself with basically picture directions. It came with 2 batteries. My block is like a big circle...so for about 2 weeks...I tested it almost every day going in circles around my block at full speed to test the battery life. I needed something that would last me a day somewhere as I tend to travel a lot and my disease has taken that away from me. There's a little button on the handles that you press and it shows you the battery level. I was insanely impressed that I had to go around the circle of my block 4 times before it stopped showing it was still at full battery. That's easily over a mile to a mile and a half. Unfortunately, the button you push to go...you have to constantly hold down with your thumb to go. It's not like an on or off switch...so if you're not used to it, it can be a little annoying if you're going long distances...but it also controls how fast you go by how hard you hold it down. I'm insanely impressed at the speed of this thing and how easily/sharp it turns in tight spaces (though be careful....because it does have the ability to tip over if you turn too sharp too fast and will). After testing it around my block a couple of weeks...I decided to keep it and upgrade to the better seat. The seat that comes with it...yes, it's compact....but everyone's right. It sucks. It's hard and uncomfortable and will cause pain after a while if you have to use the scooter for any length of time. The upgraded seat was 100% worth it. It's soft/cushioned and has foldable arms rests....yet still very compact. I spent an entire weekend in the scooter and was very comfortable. The real test came when I finally had to travel with it to an expo/tradeshow. It was in a giant warehouse with concrete floors that I've been going to for 20+ years, but haven't been able to do the last 5 years or so because my body just can't handle it anymore. I went by myself and was able to get the scooter in and out of my trunk multiple times a day with ease with plenty of space still in my trunk for my bags. I didn't even have to fold it up. I just took the seat on and off. It's a little heavy...but nothing I couldn't handle myself. Maybe about 30lbs give or take a few pounds? I literally was on this thing all day. The first day I got there and rode it the whole time. To be safe...I kept turning it on and off to save power when I was idle just sitting as I only been able to test it so much before this. I hadn't tested it an entire day yet. I put in the first battery at 2:30pm and was literally using it straight until it finally died at 10:30pm where I had to change to the second battery. Yes, I turned it off while idle, but I was moving easily 75% of the day and went at least a few miles total. That's 8 hours on one battery...and it comes with 2. I was there Friday/Saturday/Sunday and as long as I charged the batteries at night when I went to bed...2 batteries was more than enough. I was tempted to buy a 3rd one before the trip, but decided not to and it was fine. It was great with how compact it was in such a crowded venue. I was able to get in and out of tight spaces/crowds with ease. The scooter itself is also completely silent which is great and it does have a reverse feature if you need to back up. Not that I ever used it....but it even has a little bike bell lol. All in all...I'm soooooo happy with this product (as long as you get the upgraded seat). I was hesitant for the price...but I'm so glad I did. I see it's at about $675 now...but honestly....I'd buy it at that price after using it knowing what I know now. It's still worth the money. I don't know if it's as good as the $2k+ scooters....but this thing is MORE than good enough. For somebody like myself who still has the ability to function on my own...just limited.... this scooter is PERFECT for me. It's given me my independence back. I wish I bought it years ago when I started losing my mobility. Also...size-wize...I'm 5'7 and about 185lbs....so I'm on the taller/bigger size for a female and I have major leg/knee issues that I need good leg room or I'm in pain. I was a little concerned with the size of this thinking it would be too compact....but honestly... this thing fit me like a glove. You can adjust the height of the handle bars too so you're not crouched over too much and the leg room is PLENTY. The only thing I'm still concerned about is how long this thing lasts. I've seen a lot of reviews where this thing crapped out on people after just a few months. I'm giving it 4 stars because the seat that comes with it is not good and the replacement seat that came...had a big chunk taken out of the back of it (but I kept it as it didn't affect how the seat actually worked and you can't really see it when someone's sitting in it...also the screws that came with the seat didn't fit properly, but I was able to figure something out). Honestly...if this thing holds up time-wise...I'd really give it 5 stars. If you're looking for something compact, portable, easy, and comfortable (if you upgrade the seat)....to give you your independence back....GET THIS SCOOTER!!!!
