These come as a pair, so I used one of them in my outdoor shed. It turns on when I open the door because it has a motion sensor. I was very pleased about that. The other solar light did not work no matter what mode I put it on. That second light was not as bright either. I placed that solar panel in direct sunlight all day. I did not see a remote control for this pair. But it has an easy button to change between modes. I do like the design of the holder that I can screw into wood and then slide the light source into. Then the solar panel itself also has the same holder design where I can screw it in place near my roof and slide the solar panel into. It comes with screws and anchors if needed. ... show more

This is being written several weeks after my first very critical, negative one star review. Upon receipt of these lights, I was upset because I had erroneously concluded that a remote came with them. Simply put, I had mixed up my reviews before I ordered. These lights did not claim to come with a remote. My error and my apologies. The lights are terrific. They charge easily even in limited sun. I have dropped them on a cement floor, left them upside down in a rainstorm, fill covered them with wet insulation from a burned storage metal building, and abused them far beyond normal expected use. They continue to function well. For the price I find them one of the Best Buy's that I have made in a long time. ... show more

These are very nice and bright! Came with all the hardware to mount both the lights and panels. The setting instructions are so so. The first and brightest light setting is activated by motion. If its on the second light setting the light just stays on.

The light is semi-bright enough to see, but not bright enough to distinguish items. Think of the lumen as enough to see a body, but it's a strain to know who it is.

    • Great light, super easy to mod and improve further

These lights give off plenty of light and last all night is set to Dim with Bright with motion. But they are also easy to take apart to modify them to be even better! The molding suggests they use 2x 18650 batteries but it really only uses 1 18650 battery at 2000mah. At first it works great as mentioned before for all night, when new, but as they get older, that single cell just isnt enough last all night. Ive been able to easily modify them to run with 2 18650 cells instead of 1 which will help ensure they work all night for more than a year. Superdanny should really consider selling a version with extra battery capacity so as they age, they can still retain enough juice to keep it going all night long for much longer. ... show more
