I used wiring from the kit to connect a solenoid to the winch. No modifications were required for the mounting plate. The bolt holes already provided on the gator worked fine. Watch the videos on YouTube to learn how to install, it helps. Directions it comes with are a bit vague. It works well and is worth the effort to install. I installed it on my UTV. Great value .

Like the rope, haven’t tried the remote yet. Being used for snowplow. The solenoid is bigger than the previous one I had, so mounted it under the hood.

The winch build quality is really good, but I ended up loc-titing every fastener before putting it into service. Some screws were slightly on the loose side upon delivery. Had an issue with the solenoid ...wouldn't react to wireless remote, but worked fine with the corded remote. SuperATV tech support immediately sent a new wireless remote/ solenoid set that works as it should. Top notch support. Will definitely buy from them again and refer them to others.
